- David W6 contributionsOlman and Gary were superb guides. Very knowledgeable. My partner’s back went out and they seamlessly and graciously accommodated her. Would 100% recommend the tour. It includes a stop at a coffee farm, a strawberry shop, the Poas volcano and a nature preserve next to the waterfalls.
Be prepared for some hiking, some of which is at altitude from 7000-8500 feet. The waterfalls require going down what seemed like endless stairs. Fortunately, they pick you up at the bottom.
The nature reserve has all sorts of wild animals rescued from illegal captivity. The viewpoint for Arenal Volcano is breathtaking, and the hot springs at Baldi are incredibly soothing. There's also a spa if you’re in the mood for a massage—I tried it, and it was amazing.
The tour bus is spacious and comfortable, and the driver was excellent. It’s the best tour bus driving experience I’ve had in Costa Rica. Nela, the tour guide, is very patient and knowledgeable, making the trip even more enjoyable.

- Departure379428662314 contributionsAll the pictures you see on the site you will see. The buffet lunch was very good. Plus side after lunch you get to see the waterfalls. Warning though lunch is great don't over do it going to the waterfalls involves many steps. - chighamMyrtle Beach, SC69 contributionsThis tour was fun with our tour guide, Andrea. We walked through downtown, which was extremely busy because it was payday! Everyone was cashing their checks and shopping.
Andrea offered insights to various sites: park, government center, a couple statues.
We stopped at Mr. Sloth Coffee Shop where she engaged my teenage nephews to help her brew freshly ground coffee to make a special drink!
Our final stop was a private dinner prepared by an upcoming chef: we had the freshest and best ever sangria, bread, rice (of course), local veggies and a chicken dish, followed by scrumptious dessert.

She was very helpful and did as in the guide. Will defiantly do it again. The beach was omg and water was great. Yes, obey the rules of the park. They are very strict and don’t bring food or plastic; no gum/snacks/shells
One little issue was that she was not given the right code for our group ticket to the park but the time we waited she compensated. It was not her fault it happens plus again our time was not taken off. We got to stop to see the 🐊 that was exciting. Take money to buy gifts to take home. The huge bus took us around the city to key places of interest. Our guide Hector was very knowledgeable and helpful. Lunch was incredibly good and had protein options. The views are amazing! I would definitely do this trip again!
