This is an adventure park with a purpose. The park's motto is "healthy children help sick children". Costa Rica´s Children´s Hospital is financed by the profits of this park. So if you visit, you enjoy and leave a bit of your money for this excellent institution.

Very nice place to enjoy a 'one day tour' in San José.

Probably better than Braulio Carrillo, more fun, more nature, more landscapes, but without a doubt the special friendly customer service: Diego, Minor, Anne. I don't know. Thank you guys!

Highly recommended for advent-ours, very close to San José downtown.

Our ten-day bird-watching trip to Costa Rica, organized by Costa Rica Focus, was fantastic. We worked with Adriana to plan the trip, and she was very responsive to our requests and prompt in responding and working out the details. We also appreciate the 24/7 access to Costa Rica staff through WhatsApp, and they were able to answer all our questions during the trip. All the birding guides were extremely knowledgeable, as well as kind and friendly. We felt very safe with all the drivers, who were also wonderful people.

We spent the first night in San Juan and the Hotel Bougainvillea, which was very comfortable. Their beautiful garden gave us a great introduction to Costa Rica birding. Sergio, a great driver, got us to Sarapiqui, with a stop for amazing bird-watching at the Cinchona feeders. The Sarapiquis Rainforest Lodge was very comfortable, with good food and beautiful architecture in the style of a pre-Columbian village. The night walk at neighboring Tirimbina was fascinating. Lenin was our guide at the La Selva Biological Station, and he knew every path like the back of his hand, and he was able to detect every bird species by the slightest flutter of a leaf or faint call. Lenin explained so much to us about the local environment—not just the birds.

The following day we stopped at Cope’s Garden, which we highly recommend. Cope is devoted to the birds and their habitat, with amazing views of his feeders and a fantastic walk in muck-boots through the forest. He is also an amazing artist, and his wife is the best cook in Costa Rica!

Arenal Observatory Lodge’s landscape was lovely, and we really appreciated Adriana finding a last-minute cancellation for us. The view of the volcano was amazing, and the staff were very friendly. Gabriel was our fantastic guide at Arenal, and we learned so much from him!

The next day we took a pleasant boat ride across the lake, with a drive to the Trapp Family Lodge, which was a great place to stay, being right next to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve. Eric was our guide through the reserve, and every other guide clearly respected his decades of knowledge and experience. He found the Resplendent Quetzal we so hoped to see, along with so much else—from spiders to bats to butterflies.

Our last nights were at the Cerro Lodge, which is a lovely hotel with great staff. The pizza is amazing—genuine Italian! Wilky guided us on a walk through the Carara National Park and a boat trip on the Tarcoles River Estuary. This was an entirely new habitat for us, and Wilky (with a great sense of humor) was determined to hunt out rare species for us, and to make sure we all saw them!

All told, we saw almost 200 species in less than 10 days. The trip exceeded our already high expectations, and we will cherish it forever!

The tours offered by Sol Tropical exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Christian, was excellent and so knowledgeable about his country and everything it has to offer. Very organized, very well planned out and smooth.
We will be going back to Costa Rica and would love to do more tours with Sol Tropical.

We took a rafting trip with Jorge, and it was a great time! Not only was he an amazing rafting guide, but Jorge was so knowledgeable about all the local wildlife. The rafting was fun and had some very exciting moments! We took a little break to hike to a gorgeous waterfall and got to dive in and swim in a little lagoon and let the waterfall rain down on us! We did have a little capsizing moment, which was a BLAST! It was a total rush to get dumped in the cool water, but we all felt completely safe and in good hands. The lunch provided after the trip was fantastic, too! The employees at the restaurant even offered to show us some local wildlife, a PORCUPINE which walked up nearby while we were eating! The scenery was gorgeous, the transportation to and from the river was fun, and the day was just all-around a great time! If you’re considering this trip, just do it!

I can't begin to say enough positive things about our experience with Costa Rican Trails. I have traveled extensively and used many tour companies in the past but rarely feel moved to write a review. Our guide was HENRY and our driver was WILLIE and they both went above and beyond! We traveled with a group of 18 to Arenal and Monteverde. Henry's enthusiasm and love of his country touched every interaction. Henry made it his goal to make sure that we got to see as much as possible. He carried his scope with him everywhere and was always on the lookout. Henry is extremely knowledgeable from the plants to trees to wildlife. When a couple members of our group fell ill, Henry went above and beyond to organize what was needed from different transportation to a cup of soup/broth to soothe. And Willie even doubled back to pick people up that chose not to do an excursion. Henry organized our excursions and was always present to make sure they went smoothly... from hanging bridges, to ziplining, to dinners and hotels, to the hot springs. Willie was an amazing driver - safe and courteous and had a wonderful personality to match! PURA VIDA and thank you to HENRY and WILLIE!

We used Caminatas Al chiripo to book our ascent to cero chiripo. They were excellent, it is very difficult to get reservations to do this in our experience.. these guys booked everything for us including the hotel Urán the night before. They answered all our questions quickly and even wanted us to message when we got to base camp and down again. Would recommend them to anyone.

Our cruise ship excursion with Maria Jose Ovares was AMAZING! I’ve been on so many excursions, but hers was one of the best ever! She made us all feel like we were going on a trip with a friend & taught us so much about her amazing country. If you get a chance - REQUEST HER! You won’t regret it!!

I recently came back from the 2 day rafting trip. It was the most authentic activity that we did in all of Costa Rica. Luis, is an incredible rafter and host. The meals were fantastic and he was so much fun. He really made the experience. He should be commended for such a great experience.

Starting with the pick-up at the Liberia airport to drop-off at the airport by Luis, it was truly exceptional. Before the trip, it was Mario who made sure the booking process was smooth and initially I booked a 6 night trip but booked the air ticket a day later and I realized that later. Mario offered to extend the trip at the same one day rate. Excellent service. Luis made sure our activities went on smoothly as other reviewers have said before, the activity order changed but we did all of them. The hotel is Lavas Del Arenal.
Room: Simple room, Very Clean, Comfortable, Atmosphere pleasant.
Breakfast: Tasty with fresh fruits, fruit juice, coffee, tea. Made to order eggs, toast or pancakes or traditional Costa Rican breakfast with rice, eggs, bacon. The best part is depending on the activity they open the kitchen as early as 6.30 am to feed us.
Service: They make beds with new towel design every day. They give you a brown towel to take for your activities. Then the best part, they wash and fold your clothes too. Sofia does it all.
Activities: The lunch is included with the activities. Every activity is around 3 hours, lunch then a hour and half at a hot spring and then back to hotel. Then tours always have pineapple to eat after the activity. Sometimes the tour operators would pick you up first and pool others before they take you on the trip. Most fun- rafting trip, wild life- Hanging bridge and Rio Celeste, fun day- tubing, zip lining, rappelling and Hot springs. Hiking - Arenal Volcano, Arenal volcano, Rio Celeste. Pura Vida!

If you plan a tailored round trip through Costa Rica, the best choice is Green Creation Costa Rica. Adriana designs tours for individuals, small and large groups. She provides hotels, transport, guided tours, entrance fees etc. She heeds your wishes and makes suggestions for improvement. Her service is cheap and absolutely responsible. During your tour, she even helps you out with mistakes that you made.

This is a unique tour. To see what and how this man and his wife have built underground home and the external gardens are being done.
