Get a taste of Italy in China! A lovely place to walk when the sun is shining, have lunch and drink a coffee or glass of wine.

Typical tourist area with many different shops. Due to the virus we were probably the only Western tourists there. Many shops closed, but still worth a visit.

This place looks so different in the day and at night. It is definitely worth to take a stroll in the area at night as the view is just so beautiful. There is mixed of old and new buildings along the river and you will find yourself appreciating the beauty. How could 1 city integrate old and new culture in such a modern city.

No surprises. But do if you visit. One of those things tourists must check on their list. Worth it in the end

We visited from our cruise ship docked in Tianjin port. 3 hour drive but worth it. Had the section almost to ourselves. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The Five Great Avenues located in the center area of Tianjin. It is the most complete architectural complex of foreign buildings preserved in China so far, and is called the World Architecture Expo Garden of China. Many great men in history have also lived here. For example, Gu Weijun (First diplomat of the Republic of China. He was a member of the Chinese delegation to the Paris Peace Conference and the Washington Conference after the WWI), Xu Shichang ( served as president of the Republic of China), Liang Qichao (a member of China’s modernist reformers), Zaizhen (Qing dynasty clan, the last Qing Prince), and American President Herbert Hoover. Although some of the residences are now closed to visitors, there are still many of the most famous buildings you can visit and take photos of. If you really interested in this kind of building, take a stroll along the Hai River and you may find more.

Seems like a park that has had it's day and is dying slowly. Still have some Ukranian personnel working here to promote the Theme Park. The Aircraft carrier can be explored inside out and is a Must see if anything else

The church has been maintained incredibly well and offers a nice break from traditional Chinese architecture.

Free entry, just like all Chinese museums as far as I know. Not a big museum but plenty of treasures to appreciate and learn about background. If you come on a right day, there are guides around to explain the history and stories surround the exhibition items. The place is always quiet, unless it's during the public holiday period.

We stopped here for a break and to use the facilities. The mall is very clean and shiny and the riverside windows keep it nice and bright inside. There is the normal fair and some specialty shops and restaurants in here.

It was not too busy in the mall and it looks like there are several empty vendor stalls on the upper floors. The design of the mall is very cool.

Closest metro station is Hepinglu which is about a 5 minute walk away. The nearby pedestrian street area was very busy around mid day and towards the evening.
