- PixelpandererYountville, CA927 contributionsImagine sitting comfortably in a tour boat and seeing how a whole sub section of the city lives on islands with no real streets. Everything is done by boat. It gave me pause to think if this was something that I could ever do!Written January 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John PLondon, UK21 contributionsLike most people, I came to Tigre for a boat trip but I wanted to see the town as well and this seemed like the main cultural attraction on offer. If you're not pushed for time, it's a really nice walk from the town centre to the museum along some beautiful tree-lined streets and the museum itself is a striking building in a great location on the river. I really enjoyed the art collection on display here. Not being an art expert, I can sometimes find large art museums a bit overwhelming but you can get round this musem quite quickly and the works on display are very accessible: I particularly enjoyed the paintings of La Boca which were a nice preview for my trip there a few days later. If you do a trip to Tigre try and fit this museum in - for me it was definitely worth the detour!Written March 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rich GActon, MA2,572 contributionsCame on a Wednesday to browse/shop after walking around the river area, but many of the kiosks here were closed. Some were open. But I think this is more of a weekend thing. Still, pretty nice area to walk around and shop for local crafts in Tigre.Written March 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Juan Montenegro1 contributionWell, since lately I did not travel much, I'm going to upload an opinion about "Parque de La Costa" that was the last "tourist" site I was in.
t's very good, the attractions are great and it's a pretty big place with many activities to do, for all ages.
Although the reality is that if you don't buy fast passes you need to have a lot of patience, because due to the amount of people that go there are some attractions which have a lot of waiting time.
That day we went with my girlfriend and we climbed to most of the main attractions, we even got on one call "Vertigo Extremo" which consists of a free fall from more than 60 meters high.
It is a unique experience, we throw together, the feeling that you have when you go up little by little and see as it goes away everything is surprising, it is something that I recommend a lot, that if, go with money for fast passes or with patience to wait!Written July 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - michael_cruisesOsaka, Japan316 contributionsWe ended up here only by chance(ironic) as we needed foreign exchange. Once we changed our currency we threw in a few coins into a slot machine, as they say the rest is history we won a small jackpot. Quickly cashed out and spent a very pleasant day around the town. So to say we have very pleasant memories of this casino is an understatement.Written April 2, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Virginia BUtrecht, The Netherlands5 contributionsThe natural reserve offers an intimate off-the-beaten-track quiet spot where to cool off, have lunch and learn about the natural environment of the Tigre Delta. The restaurant offers a lovely deck on the natural reserve, where you can eat under the shade. On top of that the staff is extremely friendly and there is the possibility of getting a guided tour in the eco park. Highly recommend if you want to get to know the Tigre delta and avoid big day-tourist masses.Written February 22, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DMcC05Bloomington, IN3 contributionsThis museum is small, but had many displays showing artifacts, photos, uniforms, etc. We do not speak Spanish, but some of the displays had English translations. And the docents were very willing to answer simple questions (sometimes in English, sometimes in Spanish, and sometimes with universal gesturing!). We were not asked for any money for admission, so I'm hoping it was free admission. Unless this subject matter is a focus for you, you will not spend more than an hour. But it was a very interesting visit.Written November 17, 2009This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Norma Cristina EBuenos Aires, Argentina71 contributionsThis is an incredible trail to go, as the rest of the places nearby you will have to keep an eye on the road, after rainy days or floods it gets too much mud..but Ramita Negra, and Rama Negra both trails are amazing..Written January 2, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tamerellaNashville, TN62 contributionsWe visited this quaint museum while in Tigre on a day trip. We didn't even know of Mate before this! The museum was filled with various things relating to drinking mate. The video at the end was wonderful and gave a quick overview of how it is made. The gift shop attendant was sweet and even offered us a sample of the Mate, which we graciously accepted. This is a nice place to stop if you are in Tigre.Written November 6, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BethnCherylNewberg, OR14 contributionsThis is a peaceful oasis where you can just relax in quiet (especially after the boats stop running). Food, especially the parillo (grill) was very good. The horseback rides, and walks (guided or on your own) bring you in touch with the natural world of the Delta. Overnight accommodations were clean and comfortable. TV; computer; coffee, tea, and mate; and books available. Hosts were friendly, helpful, accomodating. This “destination” is very low key (by U.S. standards); NOT full of noise and sales-pushing. I am a U.S. naturalist and learned a lot from the guide, Rosanna, (in very good English) on the plants, animals, wetlands, and historical land use. She was able to arrange for a boat tour of the natural history of the Delta for us. I found it very comfortable, friendly, and informative. I recommend Deltaventura for the person looking to relax, explore nature, and learn.Written February 18, 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
