What travellers are saying
- Jon WRome3 contributionsWell worth a visit if you're in to history or photography. The place is alarmingly beautiful and the rooms inside are clearly well looked after.Written June 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- davec17carterBirmingham, UK13 contributionsA fantastic enjoyable experience.
Booked for the Red Deer Safari but first we fed the Lambs! These were a wide variety of ages, very young to almost mature and we all had the opportunity to bottle feed one from each group. Great fun.
Then the Deer Safari! We were taken in an open sided trailer through the deer park. The Red Deer females, with young still being fed by their mothers, came to the trailer and we hand-fed them. Each of us had been given a bag of special feed, and the deer loved it. We moved on then to the section where the males (stags) were, and as it is early in the season their growing antlers were covered in lovely soft velvet, Feeding them by hand is a fabulous experience, not to be missed.
After, we had lunch in the tea-room, both having burgers and a cold drink. The food was excellent, and fresh!Written June 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - crossfire3108Lincolnshire113 contributionsWe visited here while on a short break in Norfolk with our 2 dogs. It was an unusually hot day and we were pleased and relieved to find quite a lot of shade for walking the dogs. The gardens are beautiful and if it hadn’t been so hot, we would have stayed longer. The cafe is lovely and had a good selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches, with good coffee, all served on proper plates and cups and saucers! All the staff members were friendly and welcoming. Dogs are welcome in all areas including the cafe.Written June 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jaisling24Greater London, UK23 contributionsNice trip if you are interested in history. Castle staff were friendly and helpful. This is the ruin of a keep, there were plaques to read but no audio guides on offer. It was a rainy day but we enjoyed the visit and the nearby tea room was lovely. There was a toilet block in the car park which was clean and well kept.Written May 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- sam2338Norwich, UK557 contributionsWhat a lovely clean park with enjoyable views and plenty of greenery and squirrels.
Loved walking around here in the middle of Kings Lynn. There is plenty of space to walk about even though it is a popular park.Written April 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - sam2338Norwich, UK557 contributionsVery nice and lovely to visit, Went here on a day out to Kings Lynn, It is a very impressive church. - Carole SDownham Market, UK67 contributionsNot been to bangers for over 20 years but the thrill and enjoyment was still the same but much more safety in place
Would recommend this for all agesWritten September 16, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - June ASurrey, UK2,401 contributionsThis is an as others have said an important historic building on the waterfront which houses a small exhibition about its history. It doesn't take long to see and I nust admit we ventured inside mostly because it was raining and free, but it was worth it.Written April 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- HakdiniDerbyshire, UK12 contributionsThere are some lovely short walks taking in woodland, moorland and bogs (the bog has a raised board walk). Beautiful views and scenery that can transport you back in time. If you’re keen eyed, quiet and patient then the wildlife and birds are there to be discovered, along with the Galloway cattle! There are a couple of small parking areas that are free on the Wolverton road - donations can be made (read the signs). There are no other facilities so come prepared or plan a small diversion into the nearby village of Dersingham or the Sandringham Estate.Written April 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Cambridge GuruCambridge, UK881 contributionsLovely statue, great setting of the explorer who gave his name to the great city. But it could have done with a lot more explanation about him, rather than me going onto Wikipedia on my phone.Written November 5, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
