What travellers are saying
- David nManchester, UK4,769 contributionsQuite dramatic from outside with its grand architecture though part of the inside was flooded months ago and is slowly - very slowly we were told - being renovated. Given similar sized minsters recently visited this was lacking in splendour.Written August 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NorfolkSpinoneNorfolk140 contributionsThis is a remarkable property right in the "old" part of town. The tour is fascinating and reveals a quite astonishing history. So glad to have had the chance to see such a wonderful house which by a miracle has become a family home once more. The owners have striven to restore as honestly as possible and their extraordinary hard work and attention to detail is every where to be seen.
We had a truly lovely afternoon and the lemon sponge was delicious!Written May 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Old Town and the Quays is definitely the most picturesque part of town and contains some fine historical buildings, such as this one and The Minster opposite.
This fine stone building originates from the 1400’s and has had various uses over the years and multiple visits from reigning monarchs. The former gaol house is now home to the tourist information centre and the History of Kings Lynn museum.Written June 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The shop stocks a wide range of deli goods all of which looked delicious. It's a great addition to the village.Written March 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- tomK412016Greater London, UK87 contributionsFascinating site which was used as a burial ground by the Jewish community in the 19th century. The walls contain stones from much earlier buildings. Sadly, some now think it appropriate to dump black bags of rubbish in it.Written August 10, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sheila G3 contributionsMy second visit to this hotel and the standard is still as high as I remembered. . Very nice twin bedroom. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. Fixed menu as on a coach trip but very good.Written March 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Serene-ViewDoncaster, UK1,034 contributionsIt's just a clock tower that has the time, i wouldn't anything spectacular about it but worth knowing as to why it was erected, as a memorial to the soldiers lost in the Great War.Written August 31, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
