A place on an unusual theme, called a museum but more a long term passion by the owner that he is now sharing. Thousands of items all very well presented and a fantastic personal tour by a very friendly lad who works there. Met the owner and had a very interesting chat about motorcycles. Free to visit but only fair to buy some of their hair putty which I gave a test drive on our first night out after returning home and that also is highly recommended by me.
We visited without informing them first (not read the website fully), but they do appreciate a phone call before arrival so they can facilitate making your visit special by giving you their time.
I can't recommend a visit highly enough to do it justice.

The castle was fascinating and there were good interpretive signs. Compared to some other castle ruins that I’ve visited recently, Castle Acre was slightly underwhelming. It would be a great place to walk with friend family or your dog.

Quite dramatic from outside with its grand architecture though part of the inside was flooded months ago and is slowly - very slowly we were told - being renovated. Given similar sized minsters recently visited this was lacking in splendour.

Very peaceful. Wonderful views. Well marked walks. Parking charge is voluntary. Lucky enough to see a stonechat and cotton grass.

I fulfilled a dream to visit and was not disappointed! A relatively small area overflowing with a multitude of interesting exhibits, including extensive reading matter. Amazing “veteran” guides who introduced me to their new pride and joy, a Mosquito FBV1 flight simulator. So realistic, I nearly fell out of my chair and didn’t want to land, after attacking a farmhouse in Northern France.
Unforgettable visit and a complementary drink and free admission! Don’t forget to check opening times.

Very nice garden centre, superb walled garden with lots of interesting plants to see and buy. Cafe food was lovely, but marred by over ambitious pricing at times. For instance £2.20 for a "glass of milk" that was served in a teeny eco plastic pot was I felt vastly overpriced as you could have filled four of these easily from a pint carton of milk. Site has one toilet and this needs addressing as quite a queue had formed for the loo.

Park stay and enjoy the many historic buildings in this area of Kings Lynn .One can appreciate the wealth generated by trade in this once very prosperous town .Its a good example of the movements in the pattern and goods traded

The antique centre has lots to view. The beer cellar has a large selection of beers, wines and spirits. We particularly like the Belgian bers. The attached restaurant/ cafe has good food at reasonable prices with attentive service.

I particularly enjoyed the croissants and the wonderful counter top -polished concrete with colourful additions. The shop stocks a wide range of deli goods all of which looked delicious. It's a great addition to the village.

A unique gallery that is thought provoking and visually and mentally stimulating. It also sells some wonderful books and jewellery and you are made to feel very welcome.

Fascinating site which was used as a burial ground by the Jewish community in the 19th century. The walls contain stones from much earlier buildings. Sadly, some now think it appropriate to dump black bags of rubbish in it.
