One of the more surreal experiences for me walking an Alpaca around an English seaside town but enjoyed it.... Recommended. We did the 1 hour trip and thoroughly enjoyed it, learning about the history, the working life and flora and fauna of the harbour and marsh. - kphardemanManama, Bahrain79 contributionsI booked Salt Marsh Sail for my husband’s birthday and every moment was completely magical! The weather (luckily) the boat, the scenery, our super skipper and the absolutely delicious food. It will forever stay in our memories as one of the nicest and sweetest days of our life - completely removed from anything and everything to do with modern day life.
We foraged some delicious samphire which lasted forever in the fridge and we kept being transported back to Norfolk whenever we ate some. I cannot recommend this little company more highly. Although I have nothing negative to say about the ropes. I am a little disappointed that some of the younger staff spend more time on their phones than watching people on the ropes.
Surely, they are employed to ensure participant safety not scroll on their phones.
My son reached the end of the course and wasn’t sure what to do next? I had to walk across to the blonde girl scrolling on her phone and sitting on the picnic bench to ask for help/advice. Booked the beginners session and Sam made me feel so comfortable and confident that I thought I was a professional by the end. We were a mixed ability group and Sam effortlessly moved amongst us making sure we were all ok . It was like I was paddling with mates.
Will definitely be back ! Thanks Sam - you are super ! Sea Lavender Cottage has all the conveniences and home comforts you and your canine friends could wish or hope for. Sarah provided a very generous welcome package and lots of relevant local information. It is located within easy walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. It is about 0.5 miles or a 10 minute walk to the Quay.
