- Gerrie714Orange, CA133 contributionsLong walk on lumpy ground. Steep hill to get to butterflies. Not for anyone with walker. Butterflies were pretty. I got nice photos. My husband could not go up the lumpy hill after walking with walker. Sad.Written December 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David L209 contributionsWonderful day hike, eucalyptus groves, flowers and plenty of monarch butterflies to see on our anniversary trip. About a 1-2 hour hike.Written March 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Julie W2 contributionsRegarding beach access: Be aware that most of campground is up on a bluff, NOT on sand level, which means the beach is mostly accessed via one staircase just SE of the Lifeguard station, which is also up on the bluff (see map). I don't know why they don't state this fact anywhere on the map! On the other hand, the day use parking is more on sand level, so that is the 2nd beach access point. Knowing this, campsites 120's and mid 80's are the ones with shortest walk to the beach. Regarding the beach: there is naturally occurring tar in the sand, so if you have clean freaks in your group, pack baby wipes and some oil to remove tar spots from feet after a trip down to the water (or wear sandals).Written August 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MTO6 contributionsCampground is run down. Showers are old but the water is hot and the water pressure is great. The beach itself is beautiful and a great place for the kids. Tide pools and great walking along the shore. Front row campsites are the bestWritten August 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Flo LSanta Clarita, CA205 contributionsWonderful wines, nice pairings. But the setting is sublime. The vintners have a connection to Anheuser-Busch, but don’t look for Clydesdales.Written February 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alexandra TMurrieta, CA1,863 contributionsThis beach is a nice place to go for a walk, bike ride or gathering with friends. There are restrooms and grills and picnic tables.Written July 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Jeff A3 contributionsThis place is great!!!! We had our daughter's birthday party there and they made it a magical day. The place is clean and safe. Good food and drinks, including adult beverages available as well. The staff headed by Breanna (Administrative Director) were outstanding and exceptional service with a smile. They are nice and very accommodating. Throwing a birthday party can be challenging for the parents but Ice in Paradise made it a breeze. Without a doubt will be back again. THANK YOU, Ice in Paradise.Written January 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Andrea LSanta Barbara, CA2 contributionsWe did trivia and waffles here on Tuesday night and it was the best trivia we’ve ever played (and we’ve played at about a dozen places). Great host, great format, delicious waffles, we’ll be back.Written March 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PAC626Sierra Madre, CA127 contributionsSeems to be a bit of a 'work in progress' so a bit lacking for adults.
That being said, kids seem to love this place and riding the train. Easy to get to, great out of the way desination and diversion, but only a few minutes off of the highway.
As part of a trip, or repeat visits to the area, this location, along with the zoo and the Maritime Museum, both of the wharfs and for age appropriate a trip to the Mission make for great 'family' getaways.Written September 19, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We didn't walk down to the beach on the very steep stairs because of time, but it looked amazing as well!Written August 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MrGaucho1987Santa Barbara, CA946 contributionsI've visited COPR twice in the last few months. Both times I was treated to stunning sunsets. The UCSB students turn out in droves to watch the sunset. It's really a sight to see. We parked in IV and walked out on the path to the point. The beaches might not be classic beauties, but they are rugged and inviting all at once. Come on out. Enjoy a short walk. Soak in the beautiful sunsets. I'm an old Gaucho so I may be biased. But as far as I'm concerned this place is magic.Written April 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
