- markdenn647 contributionsAmazing day of whitewater rafting with H2O Adventures. Starting with booking the trip everything was very easy. Great communication so that I knew where to be, and what to expect. We were greeted by H2O's top notch guides who were very friendly. They provided nice wetsuits, helmets and PFDs so that we were safe on the water. Our group had a dedicated safety boat run by a professional guide certified in whitewater rescue. It was very apparent that H2O takes safety very seriously. Once on the water it became very clear the guides were very experienced and were very skillful. Even though the rapids were big and splashy, I felt very safe and in good hands. The Goodyear Bar run on the N Yuba is an epic Class IV/V stretch. Very exciting and fun. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better day trip if you are looking for an amazing adventure. - Eliot N1 contributionWe did the III-IV day trip on the Middle Fork of the American River as a family, and it was a lot of fun! Our guide, Margaret, was amazing, really kind, interesting and skilled. We did flip at some point, but everyone ended up alright and it was quite the experience. With good weather, really fun rapids, a great lunch prepared by the guides and clean water and surroundings, it was an amazing day! - George HLovelock, NV23 contributionsExcellent guides! Fun trip! We went on full day trips twice in June. The rafting itself is fun and exciting, lunch was great, but the best part was the staff. From the driver (Zack) to the guides (Joe and Spencer) we were treated like VIPs from check-in at 8:30 am to dropping us off back at our car at around 4pm. All other staff (other guides, safety kayakers and the people that served lunch) were wonderful. - nikchic1Eureka, CA1 contributionWe had a fantastic time. We booked with whitewater connections with a groupon, totally recommend. My husband and I took our 9 yr old daughter and 11 year old son, they had a blast also. The South Fork Chili Bar Express was the perfect beginner trip, the rapids were not scary and were just bumpy/fast enough to be exciting and splash us a bit, and we felt safe. Our guide, Slate, was friendly and cheery and explained everything really well to us and we felt that we were in good hands. The other boats had some even younger kids and less experienced people and they did fine also. It was a great time and we can't wait to do it again, next time with the Chili Bar trip that is longer than the Express, as our guide says that one has some more rapids, although the express covers some of the best ones. Also, everyone else at the company was very helpful and cheery with smiles all around. - Ashley P1 contributionFirst of I want to thank captain Michael for such an amazing experience. We all weren’t sure what to except because it was our first time and WOW we were blown away. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a ton of different companies to go with and by far this company stood out from them all. - Tammy D2 contributionsWe took the youth from our church on a 4-day summer camp adventure and it was the best decision we have ever made! Our children were blessed the moment they set foot on the grounds. The staff were amazing and all of us made a connection with our counselor, Shelby. So much so, that they haven't stopped talking about her and are excited to go again next summer (we already booked our dates). All of the adventures were wonderful! Some stretched our kids and brought them out of their comfort zone, which was great to witness. The staff came along side of them and encouraged them when they were hesitant but were never pushy to make them do something they didn't want. - Jess KSan Leandro, CA4 contributionsThis place is amazing! I did a 2-day trip with coworkers and both the camping and the rafting were so much fun. My group was lucky enough to raft with Ryan who I would highly recommend if you get the opportunity to choose. He was very experienced, answered our endless questions, enjoyed lightheartedly teasing us, and kept it really fun the entire time. We were pretty sure we had the best guide. :) Our tents were set up right along the river which was really relaxing to listen to at night. The tent was nice and dry (it rained a little the first night) and the bathroom was clean and convenient. Our guide, Nacho, was so good that as a first timer I managed the class IV rapids with no trouble. He provided great instructions and kept it light and fun the entire day. Delish lunch spread too. - Chris30 contributionsOur guide was Michael and he was fantastic all day , very knowledgeable and funny and made all the family feel welcome. Constantly letting us know where we are , a bit of history and a few bad jokes. Food was good on the riverbank , make your self a sandwich and crisps when the team lay it all out .
Some good rapids and Joey did a back flip for his last day on the river !!

They gave us time to swim, jump off rocks into the water, and float on our backs down the river when we wanted to. No hurry. Just nature and fun. Loved it!
