What travellers are saying
- Kathy HSacramento, CA226 contributionsMy sister and I had a great tasting at Pine Ridge for my birthday. Enrique was a wonderful host. As he poured the delicious wine he shared interesting info about the different varietals and wine districts. Wine tasting in their caves is such a special treat. 🍷 The Staggs Leap Cab is my favorite wine in Napa Valley.Written January 26, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gary B4 contributionsGreat wine and a wonderful setting with all wine making operations in a cave! There is a natural spring running through the cave and two waterfalls -- sights to be seen. Ruby gave us a fantastic tour of the cave and its history. Ruby presented the wines superbly! It was truly a unique experience, and I highly recommend both the wine and the tasting experience when in Napa.Written January 19, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - destinationswithdevLondon, UK141 contributionsAs a Napa Valley native, I have a special place in my heart for Domaine Carneros, a must-visit on any tour of the region. The winery, renowned for its sparkling wines and pinot noir, showcases the epitome of Napa charm, especially during the fall when the vineyard bursts into a canvas of red and orange hues.
The history of Domaine Carneros is deeply entwined with the art of winemaking. Established by the Taittinger family, this esteemed winery draws inspiration from their French heritage, evident in the grand château that adorns the estate. The château’s architecture is not only a nod to classic European elegance but also houses a tasting room that offers panoramic views of the rolling hills dotted with vibrant autumn colors.
Visiting during the harvest season is particularly magical. The air is crisp, filled with the sweet scent of grapes ready for picking, and the valley is alive with the energy of the harvest. The tasting room provides a warm, inviting atmosphere where you can taste a variety of their celebrated wines. The experience is enhanced by knowledgeable staff who are eager to share their love for viticulture and the winery's rich history.
I have had the pleasure of visiting Domaine Carneros alone, with friends, and while hosting tour groups, and each visit has been consistently delightful. The elegance of the estate, combined with the exquisite wines and stunning views, makes for an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor, a stop at Domaine Carneros is essential for anyone looking to capture the essence of Napa Valley’s wine culture, particularly in the picturesque fall season.Written February 4, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our beautiful table was set up in the vineyard with the most gorgeous view. Our Wine host was amazing. Very informative about each wine. Gave us time to savor and enjoy each tasting. It was one of the best wine experiences we had while in Napa. I would highly recommend.Written October 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JKMillerIncNapa, CA62 contributionsA fantastic 4th of July evening event, made even more special by Joanna! This was our second visit to Arch & Tower (lunch tasting last time) and we were there this time for their 4th of July event, which provided a couple glasses of wine and a prime viewing location for the drone show over the river. The food was tasty (pulled pork sandwich, lobster malfatti, pate) and the wines were great as always. We were helped out by Joanna, who recognized us from last time and provided such excellent hospitality we walked away talking about how she really enhanced our night. Thank you!Written July 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Janet CColorado Springs, CO54 contributionsOne of my favorite experiences of my trip to Napa. The porch tasting had wonderful wines in a beautiful location. It was extremely relaxing, and overall, it was just a lovely day. - KiwiantzUSATulsa, OK125 contributionsWe didn’t have an appointment and it was late afternoon but they found a spot for a small wine tasting. Be prepared to be amazed at the wine and history during the presentation of the different wines! We had a wonderful time and left with a few bottles. Stopped and took a picture of Kate’s tree, you need to visit to understand!Written January 17, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Basinman560 contributionsWe really enjoyed this winery tasting experience. You need a reservation either on-line, or phone for same day. The winery looks straight out of Tuscany both inside and out. In a small group we explored their wine cave, barrel tasting from 2023 wines that will be bottled soon. Rather than a tour of the winery production, the focus was on tasting various wines. At the end of our tasting, we were treated to pizza from their kitchen, tater tots, and wine from their bottled selections. The owner was there and we enjoyed a visit with him, sharing a taste of his favorite Family Reserve Chardoney. Their wines were very good!Written July 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Investiga2rAlameda, CA4 contributionsMy wife, mom and I had a great visit yesterday! From the beauty of the setting, the friendliness of the staff (thank you, Charlie & C.J.), and the deliciousness and quality of the wine, you really should visit Judd’s Hill to have a truly great wine experience.
You can also go there for themed dinners, unique experiences, and classes teaching you how to blend your own wine and the best way to pair food & wine.
We’ve been members for a few years now and we love to take friends and family there to experience the wine and the service. We did a tour of Napa for my mom’s 85th birthday and she is a big fan of Cabernets. She had never had Sequoia Grove, but my hubby and I had tried their only mass produced Cabernet Sauvignon. We were a fan and excited to try some of their other wines.
Wines: we tried a Merlot, a Rutherford Bench Reserve, Tonella Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. They were all delicious but our favorite was the Tonella. Sooooo flipping good. I wanted to dive into the glass and swim in it! Then we were lead into the tasting room and were served the Cambium!!! Goodness. I think this is my all time favorite!!!
Ambiance: there is something so special about drinking delicious wine while sitting under the big beautiful sequoia trees! It is so peaceful and serene. I could’ve sat there all day long drinking that fantastic wine. Then inside it felt like the classiest cabin I’d ever been in. Not a lp of frills but a welcoming place where you could tell a lot of thought was put into it.
Service: OSCAR!!!! This dude knew his stuff!!! He was professional, courteous and passionate about his wine!! He seemed to understand what we liked and steered us in that direction with the Cambium.
Our only regret is not doing the meal pairing. We will be back!!!Written October 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
