- Sierra_FoodieGrass Valley, CA6 contributionsSimply the best wines I have ever tasted. Especially the Petite Syrah and CharDono. This is a serious vineyard with excellent wines. A lovely setting and a warm fire, what more could you ask? If you are a wine lover, you shouldn't miss a trip to Dono dal Cielo.Written January 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - findacure4cfLoomis, CA1 contributionLove this place! We visit here often. It's such a great place to meet up with friends or family for a casual time together, enjoying the cold beer or even a glass of wine and delicious food! There are frequently fun events for entertainment and live music and they've recently introduced the "Stein" club for even more beer fun!Written July 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RPata216 contributionsNot to be too down on state parks and recreation areas, but they charge SOOO much ($12.00 to park), that things should be in very good order when they rip you off for that much. Sadly, the best part of the recreation area I visited was near the entry kiosk, because they had recently repaved the entry.
Everything else shows incredible wear and tear, not my kind of place to feel good about being outdoors. It'd be better not doing anything to the area at all, as far as tables, camping, etc. - just leave it as natural as possible and control where people park, so they don't keep expanding the parking area into the bushes and grasses.
The further you got out along the trail, the better it tended to get, because the slugs wouldn't get too far from where they parked the car, and the hikers and runners tend to be clean and take out everything they may have brought in with them.
Maybe it's a better place to go when it's either spring or late fall, when it's a lot cooler and less dusty.Written July 30, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
