Main street is one of the reasons why we keep coming back to Breckenridge. Sure, there are plenty of stores and restaurants, but you also have the creek running through town and plenty of places to sit and people watch. We do enjoy the art along the creek and the street performers by the visitor's center

This is a great drive over to Breckenridge from Como. Very Scenic! A hidden gem if you have an SUV or Jeep. Probably could pass over with a sedan but not ideal.

Absolutely beautiful! Not a long or difficult 'hike' - you'll start in one place and end right back there! Well worth the time!

First of you need to make a reservation for parking at hikequandry.com
The parking lot shares support with those doing quandary peak.
There is a shuttle during the summer that takes you up a fire road 2 miles near the start of the trail.
We were told it was a moderate hike that meandered through flowers next to streams.
It was actually quite steep with lots of rocks and roots. Pretty scenery, however not for a beginner of those out of shape.

We have done this trip twice and it has been highlight of our vacations both times. We did this the week before Labor Day so we miss a lot of the crowds, which is really nice.

We were staying in Breckenridge and this time we decided to drive to Frisco and rent from one of the companies there. We wanted to take our time in Copper Mountain so by renting in Frisco we didn't have to rush back to catch a shuttle back to Breckenridge.

We have two girls 12 and 10 and this was not hard for them. This is a very accessible ride for all ages. The one challenge for our 10-year old was she was not used to a bike with hand brakes.

It's hard for me to do, but I recommend taking your time on the first half of the ride (up to Copper Mountain) and not to try and set any speed records. Otherwise, the trip will be over before you know it and you'll have missed a lot of great views and picture opportunities.

Copper Mountain was a lot of fun to take a break and check out all of the activities there. The conference center has a locker room with restrooms and a water filling station for your water bottles. There are lots of clean restrooms all around, but this was the only water filling station we found.

We recommend this trip to anyone who goes to the area with a few tips:
    - Bring and drink water
    - Pace yourself in Copper Mountain because you still have more riding to do
    - Wear layers that you can take off as the day warms up or just be ok with a chill in the early part of the ride

Booked Unguided snowshoe experience on line. process was easy to follow and provided all necessary info. roughly $50 for day pass and equipment. Website did note option to swap out snow shoes for CC skis but staff seemed confused by this. We didnt have time to CC ski, as the snow show trails were gorgeous and there were MILES of terrain to cover. Some trails do cross over White River National Park areas so the trial signage can get a little unclear. But the equipment was brand new and the views are just beautiful. After our snow shoe walk we sat down in the lodge for live music, drinks and little food. The lodge is really nice, worth spending some extra time there. Note that a trail pass includes 3 hours of free parking and if you want more time you need to let lodge staff know. Because they werent very busy that January Friday we visited, they simply let us stay as long as we wanted without charge. Parking at any Colorado ski area is always difficult and ridiculously expensive so i appreciated the free gesture. I'd go back, but i might opt for a guided tour to get more color on the environment.

It was my first Colorado 14ner. Each step was definitely worth it. Saw wild wolfs and many mountain goats. The views from the summit were incredible. Although pretty difficult towards the incline in my humble opinion, the rest was very manageable. Trail was also very free of trash and very well maintained. Path of trail Is clearly marked.

Not an easy drive up as others have said, but it was well worth the trek! We arrived to find mountain goats in the parking lot with others coming down the mountain (even some babies). It was the most amazing sight!

The road to the dam was closed so we just walked around the lower lake as another traveler told us the hike to the dam was longer than it looked from our lot.

It was more beautiful than I can describe! Favorite hike in Breckenridge for sure!

This area of the Breckenridge complex is best for brand-new/novice skiers and for solid Green and flat-groomed Blue skiers. It can be crowded, so be ready for some waits. The base area is well suited for rental, with a number of gear rental and retailers literally between the street and the base of the Quicksilver Super 6 chair. It can really move some people but on the weekends even this capacity is very quickly overwhelmed. If you are an experienced skier looking to get up the mountain, starting at the bottom of Peak 9 is probably not your best bet.

The Peak 9 lifts do directly service the somewhat hidden Falcon Super Chair to the top of Peak 10 and its Black-only runs down.

The Maggie is at the bottom of Peak 9, your typical ski snack bar, with overpriced and overcooked food. It's spacious, but fills up very quickly at lunchtime.

I found the staff support at the bottom of Peak 9 to be quite good, with very engaging and helpful folks at all stations. I arranged lessons for a couple in my party and liked all of the instructors.

There is a great dog park and a pavilion with picnic tables. Excellent views of the mountains. About a quarter mile from Main Street so not as crowded. Great place for lunch and relaxation.

Super easy hike for all ages and a great little fishing spot for the family, so close to town but feels secluded, can't beat it! Saw moose along the trail which was really cool.
