Visiting the wolf center was a wonderful experience! It was incredible to see these magical animals up close and learn more about them. However, I was a little disappointed to learn that the center doesn’t focus on rehabilitating injured wolves and releasing them back into the wild, as I had initially thought.

That said, the experience itself was great. We were lucky enough to witness the feeding of both the wolves and a fox, which was fascinating. The guide (the lovely girl with violet hair) was amazing – she shared so many interesting facts and was so passionate about her work.

The gift shop was also a highlight! We bought some souvenirs, and it was great to know that all the money goes toward supporting the wolves. At the end of the visit, we even joined in a big “howl,” and hearing the wolves respond was such a magical moment.

Overall, it was a cool and memorable experience!

This park is high at 9,660 ft and boy did I feel it. I had altitude sickness for the entire five days. If you have any respiratory issues, you probably should stay clear of this park. Other campers said the same. Get some canned oxygen if you want to take a chance.

Also, no dogs are allowed on any trails, but horses are welcome. I suppose reason is the threat of wild animals.

It's really pretty if you feel like enjoying the outdoors.

If you're in Divide, Woodland Park, Cripple Creek, or Victor, or anywhere else nearby, this is a great hike. The first mile or so is ALL incline but it DOES eventually level out! The trailhead is a bit tricky to find but it's between Mile 60 and 61 (I'm guessing about 60.2) where there's a small pullover and parking area. You'll see a "Horse Thief Falls" trailhead sign at the start of the trail but it's not particularly visible from the road. The falls are small but very pleasant. We stayed for 15 minutes, just sat, and enjoyed the simple beauty! NOTE: Either on your way to the falls or back, DON'T miss the Horse Thief Park side trail. Even if you only walk 5 minutes down the side trail and stop and turn back, you're in for some absolutely gorgeous mountain scenery!

First off, I always go into a local brewery that it's usually a brewery first, and a food place second. With that in mind, I would say they are an excellent brewery. Between 4 of us we partook of several different varieties of beer, and all were pretty darn good. Food was actually pretty good, too, although a couple of orders weren't quite right - so be specific when you order! Overall, though, I would definitely recommend, and will definitely plan on going back.

Reserved a Polaris RZR several months back to only be offered a Teryx on the day of pickup due to not having a RZR available. Teryx is a glorified golf cart. I rode the same trails at Taylor Park that I have for 5 years to return it and they want to charge me over $300 for scratches to a wheel . Problem is the owner is unable to show I caused the scratches and they weren't there before. His rental prices may be competitive but be prepared for him to hold back your deposit for the most minor of issues. I believe he has forgotten that these vehicles are designed for off road use.
