Beautiful view of the Yampa river, there are a few parks along the trail, a playground area for little kids by the Old Depot, some sulphuric springs, and the trail is great for biking or walking, or just people wa...
This paved trail runs from Walton Creek Road (and a bit beyond) down the river, under the James Brown Soul Center of the Universe Bridge, and out to Bear River skate/bike park (and the county jail).

There are many good restaurants and shops to visit in the city, while the area provides numerous attractions like hot springs, parks, hiking & biking trails, horseback riding, snowmobiling and skiing, among others.

We aren't big hikers or bikers but we were still able to enjoy the view and had the opportunity to see a lot of animals free in nature.
Most folks park at the lot right off the paved road, but if you have an SUV type vehicle, drive through the lot and when you come to a green gate and where road splits to the right, GO RIGHT.

Steamboat Powdercats
#11 of 17 Nature & Parks in Steamboat Springs
The breakfast is a bit ordinary but the lunch, in a secluded hut in the middle of the national park, was excellent and delicious.
It helps to be lucky with Mother Nature but even in substandard conditions their expert guides can locate the best runs available on any given day.
