- Coastal7940553 contributionsWhat a lovely vineyard find! Found through "googleing" an offbeat, off-the -beaten track winery visiting experience in the area. We were lodging about 15 to 20 minutes away. The Essex Dinner Train, a trip destination. The grounds and hosting people matched the warm, welcoming feelings created while while being there. Now a good memory. The wines they produced with local grapes we taste-tested, just yummy: Estates' St Croix and Cabernet Franc, 2020, respectively. Friendly folks who became friends.
Thank you! Will stop by again when in the Connecticut River Valley.💛Written September 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Sailing down Eightmile River to the cove is a great treat. Along the banks are numerous palatial homes. You will also pass by Cove Landing Marina and Hamburg Cove Yacht Club both displaying many impressive boats and yachts. As you continue you will enter the Connecticut River passing by the Essex Boat Club and Pettipaug Yacht Club. There is also an archaeological site as well as documented prehistoric remains. Camp Claire is located on he banks of Hamburg Cove and boasts over 100 years of rustic camp experiences.ÂWritten July 21, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BusterBusBusOrlando, FL1,052 contributionsSo my friend and I drove through the woods from one entrance to the other. We took the enterance off of Hamburg Rd and turned onto Keeny Rd. We drove on this rd for about 2 miles I believe. Met a nice gentleman walking and saw someone taking pictures. There is a pond, Uncas Pond, that we drove past. When we came out the other side we past a few houses and onto the main road again.Written August 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
