- Marianne Nowottny6 contributionsLol these reviews! It’s a small exclusive island, no cars no roads. Ex-CIA mansions and a beautiful historic restaurant the Collier Inn. We took a day trip with Boca Grande tours. We loved every minute of itWritten February 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Beryl BBox Elder, SD257 contributionsThe Sapps are friendly & welcoming hosts. Sharing and educating about their farm. The only thing sweeter is their products. Best flavors with mango 🥭 & LOVE the passion fruit & guava combos and their own honey 🍯❣️❣️we’ll be back. Wishing you the best for a great season. 💜Written April 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HappyEmptynestingFort Myers, FL86 contributionsSmall but quaint museum that beautifully captures the history and essence of Useppa and surrounding islands. Being Cuban born, I was impressed at the well done historical accounting and display of the impact made on the island by the early Cuban settlers, also of the Bay of Pigs training on the island and full accounting of the related historical events. A must do when visiting Useppa with a very reasonable $5 donation fee!Written March 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laurel BTipp City, OH846 contributionsVery small, but packed with memorabilia and interesting artifacts from the area. We spent most of our time looking at the fantastic shell collection. Walking on the nearby beaches, you can gather your own collection to bring home.Written January 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lymama3Saint Paul, MN16 contributionsMy family and I spent a week in the island (4 kids= 2 teens and 2 younger ones). My husband and I did some fishing off the pier one day. We caught quite a few nice ones, saw a sea turtle and a manatee at that time. Yes, you need to pay $15 to pass the gate. The lady and her father, who were working that morning, were very nice and friendly. You get a wristband, so technically you could go out and come back that same day (that is what some where doing). We left to get the kids and I tried to go back later in the evening and take my oldest child fishing, but the guy that was working then was super rude and even though it was not 7 yet and it wasn’t to crowded, he did not let us in (so I pocketed the $15 i had ready for my kid and went to had fun in the water). We also watched the sunrise and sunset as a family (up to the gate), saw a pod of dolphins at sunrise! It is a nice place, not a beach access, but the kids had fun playing in the water/sandy area (entering through the parking lot). I will go back since we like fishing, but will wait for the nice friendly gate workers.Written March 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wanda RGreenfield, WI734 contributionsWe were in Matlacha FL which was the first city on our trip in the Fort Myers area that had any regional artist work. We were told to drive up to Bokeelia as the gallery there represented local artists. We were so glad we did. The ride was relatively close. The gallery was wonderful. The artist's work was of a higher level. Not stuffy but not craftsy. Very nice selection of various media. The gallery was having a sale that day so we purchased a very nice piece at a very reasonable price. We are so glad we made the drive. Very pretty up there. There is a bar/restaurant at the end of the road. They also sell items. More craftsy but still worth checking out.Written April 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- William & Linda4 contributionsMy wife and I went to get a better understanding of all the different types of Mangos available before we purchased one. We had a great time, we expected to stay about 30 minutes, but stayed over an hour as we talked with the staff, tasted fruits, toured and selected a tree to be delivered, and saw some amazing fruit trees. It is a Nursery, so not fancy, but if you are looking for tropical fruit trees, you will want to stop here!Written March 31, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - retiredandlovingit07Toledo, OH271 contributionsThis is their 2nd season and they're going strong! They offer nice local art and organize occasional art shows on their grounds. The items are fairly priced for the area. It's a nice hub of activity. If we were here longer I would partake of their offerings of craft/art classes.Written March 26, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark GCatonsville, MD3,495 contributionsWhat a great resource Phillips Park is for the area with it's multitude of offerings. We recently visited and loved the well manicured baseball field, as well as the picnic tables, shelters and charcoal grills. It was great to see the pickle ball courts and they have tennis courts available too. Equally impressive was the swimming pool and they even had a concession stand, along with a nice playground and restrooms. Well thought out park and we would certainly revisit. Located right across the street was was the Museum of the Islands, a history of Pine Island.Written October 26, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
