This is a lovely little gallery filled with treasures! I should say I am not a Gainesville fan but don’t hold it against this charming art venue!

Was driving through Gainesville and stopped at the Haile Farmers Market. The produce is amazing, great selection. There were about 30 to 40 vendors, worth the drive to this area of Gainesville. Lots of friendly people, strollers and dogs. Several restaurants in the area if you want to have breakfast or lunch. If I lived in Gainesville I would frequent this market for sure. The market is on Saturdays only from 8:30am to Noon.

our family spent the day down in cedar key at the beach. we were planning on leaving and heading to Gainesville for some Chinese food at ocean buffet. but plans got changed and we ended up heading to the mall for Chinese food. DO NOT get Chinese food from there. it is entirely too expensive and blah. the mall was impressive. lots of stores. we made our way down by a play place where my girl and I sat on the chairs. behind us there was a place that was fully dedicated to the university of Florida. bought her a sticker of the alligator, a car decal, and something else. you should check it out when in town.

The GFAA is a pleasant, modern venue for a variety of fine art works by local artists. I understand that the installations change regularly but have not visited enough to confirm that. The GFAA is a venue of Gainesville monthly "art walk." Although it is a little piece away from "downtown" Gainesville, I would encourage anyone to stop by during Art Walk. It is worth the search and effort.

We are fairly new to town and discovered Thornebrook Chocolates a couple months ago. I have eaten my way around the entire shop and it's all so good! I am a real chocoholic, but I limit my consumption to really high quality products. So Thornebrook Chocolates will be seeing me weekly, I'm sure.

I had been to an oil and vinegar tasting room before but Saporito was on another level! The store front is warm and inviting and the family that runs the shop are all super helpful. I was blown away by their selection of sweet and savory flavors. I highly recommend you visit and I'm sure you will fall in love with this flavorful product!
They also have cooking classes for kids for those with young children.

Was refused service because I wouldnt wear a mouth muzzle. What a stupid policy, I'm sure from their corporate office. Oh well, plenty of places to get what I want that dont engage in idiotic policies with zero scientific evidence of effectiveness. Will never shop there again even if they discontinue their stupid policy

Selection was good. Prices were crazy high. Shopped boots all around the country. Think this shop had the most expensive boots I have seen. Wow. If you got money to spend it's a great shop!

If you are down at the Millhopper Shopping Center on 16th Blvd. and 34th Street you might pay a visit to Coin and Jewlery on the side of Publix Supermarket. It is a small store, but full of interesting items for the numismatist or jewelry collector. They carry a wide variety of coins from colonial to present day and even some odd Confederate money. I've bought gifts for friends here many times, as well as for myself. The prices are reasonable and you can usually get a good bargain if you ask. Vince is the owner and he does coin appraisals as well as his wife. The jewelry is high quality and there are some beautiful black opal bracelets and rings. Great for the Holidays!
