Our tram tour of the Circle B Bar Reserve was very peaceful and informative. Eric, our guide was a former educator and made the hour plus ride go by quickly. He told us how the area was a cattle ranch in the past and in the year 2000, it was purchased to restore the main wetland now known as Banana Creek Marsh. The restoration project is ongoing. All the changes create new food sources and habitats for thousands of wildlife and migrating birds. On our adventure ride, we saw a Great Blue Heron, Anhinga, White Ibis and a Bald Eagle. We even saw a glimpse of few alligators lurking in the beautiful, clear blue water. The reserve also has The Polk Nature Discovery Center, which provides information about Polk County’s natural resources and water. They also have monthly activities and nature workshops there. If you just want to hike the trails, you have a choice of Alligator Alley, Eagle Roast, Heron Hideout, Lost Bridge, Marsh Rabbit Run, Shady Oak, Wading Bird Way, Windmill Whistle and Treefrog Trail. It was an awesome way to spend the day, exploring all the nature that this former ranch has to offer.

Had a great tour given by Jack yesterday. He is very enthusuastic, very knowledgeable and gives a great tour. The buildings are beautiful, visionary for the time period in which they were created and very reflective of the innovation and intended inspiration the college wanted to impart to their students and community!

Hollis Garden is a lovely garden on the shore of one of Lake Mirror in Lakeland. While strolling through the garden one may see a variety of flowers and trees, and some sculptures in the park-like setting. Along the lake there is a variety of waterfowl as well.

Our experience at Morton Lake was the best surprise! We were in Lakeland to visit other sites and happened upon Morton Lake by chance. We are so glad that we did. When I spotted some birds in the area, we parked and began to walk along the lake. The homes and architecture of the buildings were lovely but the number of birds in the lake and on the shore were amazing. We saw storks galore, and the most magnificent swans! There were black swans, white swans, egrets, and other waterfowl. We were able to get within inches of some of the birds and saw swans on their nests. We are avid bird watchers where we live and yet this was an experience I will never forget.

It is a very nice public facility. It has a nice kids playground. It has an excellent garden area. We go to the Lake Mirror Concours Car Show every year in the Fall. The Car Show does seem to be shrinking a little more every year.

This museum is amazing, the art shows and exhibits they put together are one of a kind.
They are not traveling shows you can see at different art museums.
The curator and staff have a brainstormed and combined artist sculptures, illustrators that complement each other in different shows. It is a must see and it’s free to the public!!!!

We had a fun time walking the aisles looking at antiques. It was especially fun to look at the Disney and Universal props. Took about two hours to see everything. Employees were much nicer than most antique malls we stop at. Prices were a bit high but that's to be expected with it being close to Orlando.

Quiet beautiful lake. Walked around lake with my son (3.5 miles) during sunset. Safe area and easy walking trail (sidewalk). Saw a lot of wildlife along the route (more than I thought). People jogging and walking after sunset.

Although more than just a park, nature center, cafe, playground, concert venue, gathering venue, botanical garden, walking trails, education center…….etc. so much to do and see. Great place to engage kids and adults. My husband and I were amazed at all Bonnet Springs has to offer! We had a cocktail and delicious nachos at the rooftop lounge which offered one of the many beautiful views. A must see when visiting - I’d be a regular if we lived in town.

Sifu Och is one of the most honest, wise, fair and loving of individuals I know. His training, combined with his ethics are a rarity.
His techniques are near perfect yet, he continues his own personal growth.
I am honored to be part of this family. I have NO doubt that my growth in Wing Chun (and as a person) has been and will continue to be exponential under his teachings.
