The 2023 vintage is Bordeaux-born winemaker Renan's first rendition of producing quality wines, and his skill and expertise are already evident by the awards that have been won to date. The various types of fermentation methods used to make each type of wine allows every varietal and blend to be very unique in their own way. Of special interest to me were the wines made in in the concrete tanks and the concrete eggs, both being different than the traditional methods of using either stainless steel or oak vessels. It will be interesting to watch the continued development now that the winery has been revitalized and re-engerized, particularly because of many tools available to the winemaker.
