Bavaro Beach is the best beach in Punta Cana. Well kept, long for walks, small waves, no sand fleas, soft sand, not a steep slope. We have been on this beach 7 times and plan to return.

Beautiful reserve to learn about their foundation and the importance of conserving the land! We had a wonderful tour guide, Mo! He was so passionate in his work that it draws you into everything he says. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and great personality. He made sure we were both on track literally with time and on the paths (several people kept wondering off) to ensure we were learning and spent good amounts of time to see spend at the lagoons. Thank you Mo for your wonderful work! The lagoons are the cherry on top of the trip! Beautiful & worth the tour!!
*Bring cash to Tip your tour guides generously. Show your appreciation for their handwork and kindness. They remind us of teachers… patient, knowledgeable, giving everyone what they paid for BUT have to stop to ask those politely not to wondering off, don’t touch things they shouldn’t yet and deal with them asking for more time to play! (And these are the ones that don’t tip, smh)

Macao Beach is something of a hidden gem of Punta Cana beaches, being relatively untouched with clean sands, watersports opportunities, and an escape from the city crowds.

It’s a popular surfing spot and was listed by UNESCO as one of the Caribbean’s best beaches, mostly down to the clear waters and lovely white sand fringed by tall palm trees. waves are not as smooth as the main beaches of Bavaro, but it’s for those who desire a day at the beach free of crowds. also, sands particles- It’s huge, and not as fine as Bavaro's beaches.

It's also highly popular with surfers due to the great pipes that form here. It's a favorite among locals, and a nearby all-inclusive resort lets you be pampered between beach excursions. It is much quieter than Playa Bavaro, and it is worth visiting, especially if you want to try awesome freshly caught fish at affordable prices

Entrance: Google search for Restaurant El Fogón de Doña Mery, that’s your entrance.

Parking: some guy will stop you at the entrance, and he will guide you.
Parking Fee: As per guard wish ;) try 50 or 100 Pesos.

Very nice swimming with only small waves and very clean water. You can see lots of fishes in the shallow water.

We first stopped at the museum, and learned a bit about the history of the cathedral and its significance, which was quite interesting, and I would definitely recommend before viewing the basilica. The Basilica itself has an interesting architecture and is worth viewing.

Great day at the water park. The kiddos and my husband really enjoyed the slides even though they were rough we went back a second time. Buffet was pretty good there as well.

The beach is sand and next to the water. Many clouds for shade it is warm and fun.
A dog likes snacks on the sand. There are many waves in the water for you fun time.

We went to Padre Nuestra Cave - we just drove to the park, paid 200Pesos per person entrance, and then 1.4 km further at the park entrance met a guide who offers a full tour for free (plus tips) which was absolutely awesome. He took us through the whole park, showed us the local plants, took photos and most importantly helped us on the last cave where you can swim in the dark in refreshing waters. You can also see the carving of the indigenous people here in this cave.
Ramon (the Guide) is very knowledgable and friendly, we actually ended up giving him 1000 Pesos as a tip which was worth it.
Can highly recommend this for any nature lovers! Bring good shoes, mosquito spray, water and bathing suit- no need for snorkelling gear as it’s too dark to see much in the Cave. We spent a total of almost 3 hours here.

The waves are strong but once you pass the place where they break out you can just lie on top of the waves and let yourself go for hours.

This church is amazing. We own a condo in the area and go to Sunday mass. Very uplifting and the parish is so welcoming. Gospel in Spanish and English. A sanctuary to visit with The Lord!

We don't do scuba so we mostly spent time at Cueva Del Chicho, as there is fairly little to see at Cueva Padre Nuestro if you aren't actually diving. Cueva Del Chichco was truly amazing. It helps to have snorkeling great or goggles as well as flashlights or multiple smartphone lights because the cave is fairly dark. But the water is crystal clear and absolutely beautiful. Definitely worth a day trip to check it out!

Good and clean beach, but beware of your surroundings and belongings. Compared to other beaches this is better.

Beautiful caves! We hiked from Dreams Dominicus which was fairly far (15km round trip). Be sure to bring a flashlight or use the torch on your phone. The park doesn't really seem to be open, at not the way it used to be. There was a $5 US fee per person to go in with some sketchy guys at the entrance. Hard to say if they were really employees or not.
