This review covers the wide beach near Guy Harvey Resort. I was on the beach with a cup of coffee at 6:45 to catch the sunrise. There were only a few other people on the beach at that hour and the sand stretches for miles in either direction. As the day progresses, hotel and resort guests start to dot the beachscape, but it's really mostly beautiful and quiet. No parasailing or jet ski shops near where I was. No one hawking anything! Just the beach and the waves and little shore birds with their skinny little legs racing around like an old timey Keystone Kops movie! The Atlantic is pretty cold at that hour, but I had to get my feet in there and after a while you don't even notice the cold. Dunes located closer to beachside properties are filled with wildflowers and seagrasses that scent the air. The beach itself was spotless. Though the hotels and condos that line the beach are large, they appear tiny when viewed from the beach side. Local ordinance limits the height of buildings and that's a good thing as there are no high rises to block views. Loved every second of my time here.

My daughter is not an athlete. She does not run at all. Before starting lessons with Coach Vita, we did not think we would ever find a sport for her. Through Coach Vita’s kindness and patience, my daughter has learned to love the sport of tennis. Vita knows when to push her and went to give her some time. She is incredible. Sometimes, Coach Bobby will be on a nearby court. It is not unusual for him to observe my daughter and give some pointers. It is during these times that we have two amazing coaches. Coach Vita and Coach Bobby work so well together.

This museum has so much information on the 450 years plus history of African Americans in Florida an St Augustine and its Lincolnville neighborhood. The museum is mostly organized chronologically. I enjoyed my visit. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. The neighborhood is charming with its 19th century homes. An easy walk from the historic district.

Small and not a ton of produce. Lots of craft vendors, really friendly. Was very hot though. Had to rush through because of the heat.

Costs $10, but they offer discounts for military, teachers, students and families. It is a guided tour that is around 30 min long. They have the house set up in different time periods so you can see how the people lived there in the various times. It is on the far end of town from most of the things to do, but it was worth it for us.

Butler Beach is a favorite. Typically locals frequent this beach. It is less crowded. You can drive on the beach if you have 4x4 or park and walk over the wooden bridge that protects the dunes. If you're lucky you might see some turles sunning on the dunes from the walkover. There are no bathroom or showers at this location, but it is a great spot.

Nice spot right next to the Liberty dispensary, a little loop thru some statues and a large lake with tons of hungry turtles and sometimes birds.

On a brew tour with my beer loving wife. We hit 10 bars and Ancient City is the winner hands down. Not only do they have the best beers but our bartender (Britta) was incredible. She gave us a class on the brewing process. We learned so much. Excellent bar atmosphere as well. Great music, free Wi-Fi, and The Masters on TV. What more could you want on a Saturday afternoon?
    Highly recommended!

This exhibit outlined the life of Picasso using drawings throughout. It was free and in the welcome center. There is a gift shop with reasonable prices and restrooms.

I've been taking my Diamond Dotz finished projects to Island Framers and Gallery since August of 2023 and I've been delighted in the results. I've worked on an elephant, a rooster, two owls, one wolf, a Volkswagon full of flowers, a butterfly, a town on the coast of Italy, a dolphin, a macaw and a Dream Catcher and all of them have been framed masterfully by the people at Island Framers. I'm working on a dragon now and can hardly wait to take him down to see what we all decide is a proper frame for a creature that might decide to bite someone if he doesn't like the selection. The prices are very reasonable considering how much time is put into making my projects as beautiful as they can be and I highly recommend Island Framers and Gallery to everyone who wants first class quality on their projects! You will learn so much about mosquitoes, and other insects. You'll leave and ask your friends, "did you know ..." For example, it's only the female mosquito that bites--and that's only because she needs protein to nourish her young. Interacting games, and microscopes, make learning fun. A perfect place for kids. They can get up into a retired helicopter and see what it feels like, and looks like, to go on surveilance runs. My husband and I were most impressed with this display--the first of it's kind in the United States. Through July of 2024 there is no charge to visit.
