What travellers are saying
- Suz1 contributionExceeded our expectations.
Some of the exhibitions are interactive and the VR experience is excellent.
Join the free guided tours - they don’t last long but really informative.Written February 8, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rmrudloffMiddletown, Delaware37 contributionsWell worth visiting. Beautiful tropical gardens with beautiful flamingos and gorgeous tropical birds. Beautifully maintained and gentle walking path with plenty of benches for resting and enjoying the calm.Written January 27, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Toni TNashville, TN6,718 contributionsThis collection showcases the works and life story of Dale Chihuly, the glassblower artist entrepreneur. Originally housed in another location in DTSP (Downtown St Pete), this location is a huge upgrade to this expanded location. The photo display of Chihuly's timeline is brief but includes all pertinent facts. The movie offers another layer of information.
The glass works and some of the related artworks are on display. They also highlight another artist, in this case, Akiko Kotani and the works called BURST.
Enjoy the beautiful glass pieces, small and large, abstract and concrete items, like a variety of plant shapes. I have seen Chihuly works on display in Las Vegas and in Arizona Botanical Garden, which are compelling but this St Pete collection is awesome.

Owner/glass artist Duncan was on site and offered comments on pieces of interest. Really delightful outdoor garden with some fine glass pieces. Rotating artists keep things fresh. - Paula S2 contributionsTHIS MUST BE THE MOST UNDERATED PLACE,IT IS FABULOUS,HAD NO IDEA WHAT THE NAME MEANT, SHOULD BE CALLED THE St PETERSBURG MUSEUM OF GLASS, SOUNDS LIKE A CHILDRENS PLACE.Written January 30, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Toni TNashville, TN6,718 contributionsThis downtown area is full of eateries of all kinds, banks, scooter rentals, bars, cigar bars, waterfront activities, trolleys, museums, grocery, speciality shoppes, dance places, live music, parks, and so many things to do amid on-going construction. The area is walkable, with street parking. Most street parking is pay by app, although you look for some free 2 hour parking spots. Paid garage parking. Enjoy walks through the park, through the bustling night life, shoppes, and museums. Luckily, the weather allows outdoor activity all year long.
Although the beach is about 7 miles away, the St Pete Pier offers a small beachfront access.
Pay by app street parking is hard to find, paid garage parking spots.Written November 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You do get to see a video before the wine tasting. Amazing to see (and sample) so many varieties. Staff are friendly, helpful and pleasant.Written July 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Melinda DEnglewood, NJ362 contributionsSo I kinda liked this older, smaller, no frills stadium. Great seats! Great parking and a pretty good team. Liked the vibe of the fans and on field entertainment. Felt like old fashioned baseball. Enjoy seeing one of the last games of the season. - Road322605823031 contribution1st time to this area and it didn't disappoint! Stayed on 4th street and walked almost everywhere we went from bars to restaurants to markets. - Toni TNashville, TN6,718 contributionsThis incredible museum founded in 1965 offers fine art from many eras of history and many parts of the world. The paintings and fiber works highlight many eras, and the outdoor sculpture park offers a few well defined pieces in a relaxed courtyard. I love the special exhibits especially Ansel Adams photos with a large sitting area and some of Adams's books to augment the hanging photos. The Audubon section is amazing! A true wealth of Papua New Guinea in that exhibit!
Great works of art in a spacious environment. The section on Africa is small, and many areas of Africa into one room, with minimal consideration to the vast diversity of the African continent.
The museum website offers an entire section on accessibility, including Sensory Saturdays once a month for those with sensory challenges, Home schooling programs, and Teen art workshops. They offer film screenings and talks related to Florida nature, special speakers, Art after Dark on Thursday with reduced admissions.
Anyone can call in advance to receive an American Sign Language interpreter and have access to a color enhancement tool for those with colorblindness.
The Museum has made wheelchair ramps to the entrance that blend with the historic preservation of original architecture.
Café Clementine offers a coffee shop with several coffee preps and some great pastries that does not require paid entrance to the museum to imbibe. Also the MFA store offers tasteful museum related gifts.
Wheel chair access restrooms with grab bars.
Wheel chair access to the entire museum with automatic doors.
a small amount of Wheel chair access parking by the museum, and street pay by app parking. Parking is challenging during Downtown St Pete events, fairs, and concerts.Written December 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Firefly78Ridgewood, NJ309 contributionsThis is a beautiful nature preserve. There is a well maintained boardwalk from which one can be immersed in a natural Floridian habitat. Walk to the tower to get a panoramic view of the area. Birds such as blue herons and darters can be seen as well reptiles including soft-shell turtles and of course alligators are present although I personally did not see any gators. There are plenty of joggers and walkers as well as sightseers. Unfortunately the water fountain was out of order so bring plenty of water.Written September 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
