What travellers are saying
- tdawn_21Lake Wales, FL271 contributionsThis has to be one of our favorite beaches! The facilities are nice, the parking can be tricky the park fills up quickly. This trip we found 66 shark teeth.Written May 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- J.F.7 contributionsFriends who are locals brought us to the Venice Beach dog park portion of the beach. We didn't have a dog with us, but we are all dog lovers. We had such a great time playing on the beach and watching all dogs having fun. They were running all over the place and very entertaining to watch. Everyone was real nice and very sociable. The beach was very clean and they had showers by the parking lot where you could clean up before leaving. We had a wonderful time.Written April 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Carmen C4 contributionsLove the beach. It is clean and was not crouded. I recommend you pick a spot to see then Sunset. Take a chair your best book to read and your umbrella for shade. Best place to relaxWritten May 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sharon PSpringvale, ME118 contributionsMy husband, border collie, and I have always had a great experience at this beach. Friendly pups and friendly people abound. Everyone we've met (dogs and people alike) are respectful. We like to hang out near the dunes and enjoy the comings and goings of others, as well as walk the length of the dog beach and play in the water with our pup.Written May 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- keysliferKey Largo, FL115 contributionsEveryone tells me this is a great store, they were right!, Been meaning to go there for some time and finally made it. Not your average grocery store, which was refreshing. Excellent selection of seafood, meat (great steaks) and produce. I found that everything I wanted was fresh, very fresh items are close, some very close to their “use by/best by” dates. Just be sure to use the items soon that expire quickly. Not a humongous selection, but they focus on select popular items, somewhat like Trader Joe’s. I will definitely be back on a regular basis. I understand this location is due for an update/upgrade in the near future.Written May 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- FLworldwandererTampa, FL913 contributionsThis "museum" not only displays their vehicles, they sell them as well. So, if you're thinking of a 1960's Corvette, this may be your place to view & shop. We enjoyed our visit, and took some great photos. Cars, motorcycles, soda machines, gas pumps, and so much more. Oh, by the way ... it's FREE admission. Hope this helps with your first visit.Written October 21, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- deapackedandreadyMinneapolis, MN66 contributionsGreat place to watch wading birds nesting in the trees in the middle of a large pond. If you're there in March/April/May, there should be lots of nest-building, mating, young birds being fed, etc.
Nice little park - picnic tables, benches along the path. Bring a long lens or binocs and enjoy the show. The birds are relatively close.
You need to be persistent to find it; most maps aren't clear where the entrance to the park is - just go around the big block and you'll figure it out!Written March 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - UkienomadFleming Island, FL6,360 contributionsWe had a 45 minute wait so come early (we were there on a Friday). Service was very good and the food was pretty tasty with large portions. The flounder with lobster and artichoke sauce was pretty good although my husband didn’t like it. The Asian salad was delightful. The ahi tuna was not too tasty. I gave it a 4 not so much for the food but for the ambiance and service.Written April 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- UkienomadFleming Island, FL6,360 contributionsCame here on a Friday, Good Friday, and the place was packed with tourists. Parking was a bit challenging. They have some awesome stores and great restaurants to choose from. Have colorful mermaid statues everywhere in the town. We wish we had more time to spend here. Absolutely lovely area. Will definitely come again.Written April 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- x4famfun80 contributionsWas in Venice for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. We have been to musicals and the such in larger venues but never to a play. Was very impressed! We saw, "To Kill a Mockingbird". Cast was amazing! Very friendly staff/volunteers. Comfy chairs. Would definitely consider visiting again.Written May 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- FLworldwandererTampa, FL913 contributionsGreat location to rent a kayak, paddle along the Myakka River, take in the sights of nature, then have lunch at the Snook Haven restaurant. Hope this helps with your first visit.Written October 21, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Brice HKokomo, IN224 contributionsReally enjoyed our return trip. We were here a few years ago and it never disappoints. This time there were several nesting species and we got to see several fledglings.
Then to the end of the trip, we had a mother mallard bring her brood of eight right past the pavilion and around the pond to the smaller pond behind the church. It really made our day.
Be sure to bring binoculars or a camera with a really good lens (or both). You won't be disappointed.Written April 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Diane KVenice, FL3,692 contributionsThis is a nice park with a half mile paved walking trail and also access to the beach. It has a large covered pavilion that can be reserved for events. There are also benches and picnic tables around the paved walkway plus gulf lookouts. It was a busy place on a lovely Tuesday morning.Written April 28, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- conniemh1950Weems, VA12 contributionsGreat little hike along the Myakka River. We saw fish jumping and a gator sunning itself on the other side of the river.
