- Woodcrest55129Woodbury, MN417 contributionsFirst time we were there. Loved the place. I read the red tide was there last week but gone by the time we arrived. Arrive early to get into the free parking lot or be prepared to do street parking. Some snack lares open but we found the restaurant at the marina (Crows Nest) to be great. Walked everywhere. Walked to downtown and back. Fun time.Written March 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MDavisT2414Kentucky104 contributionsThe salt-and-pepper-colored sand and the lovely blue-green water were so pretty. The rocks remind me of the California coastline. I love that there was a clean restroom facility where I could change into my swimsuit. Great food truck on site; had a yummy chili dog and lemonade before heading onto the beach. We visited here spur of the moment, so we didn’t come equipped with sifters. We will know better next time!Written April 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Hunterjumpergirl357Plainville, CT81 contributionsI was down in Venice in January and due to the hurricane Ian the pier was closed. Beach was very nice, lots of people. There is a parking garage 1block ago, if you can’t find parking on the street.Written April 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paula M1 contributionThis beach area was fantastic, even for my 18 yr old Dachshund! It was nice they had separate play areas for Small and Large dogs outside the beach. Several gates to help prevent pets from scurrying out was well thought out! Once on the beach, (Much larger than expected!) everyone was well behaved and we didn't have any issues with larger dogs coming to give a quick sniff and say Hi to my little Sandy! Owners were well behaved as well, while looking after and picking up after their dogs! Granted .... Bad dogs and unattentive Owners could produce a different outcome; however, we had a Fantastic time and would look forward to returning! Our only pseudo semi-complaint was ... there was no hose wash in the little dog area.Written May 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WarwickSarasota, FL32 contributionsOne of the best places to buy fresh produce and great meats. Highly recommend their baked good too. - Frank BVenice, FL3 contributionsWe have renewed our membership each year with this theatre group because we have not been disappointed yet with any of their productions. For a local theatre group they have continuely put on an array of excellent shows.Written July 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mike BMineral, VA950 contributionsWent here for dinner with some friends during a visit to Sarasota. Really neat open air restaurant, great location, and it's nice to walk out on the pier with a drink while waiting for your table. Had a great service, and the food was very good. We had the onion ring appetizer, which is awesome. My wife had the rice bowl with salmon, and I had the grouper wrap. We both thought the food was very good. We went on a Friday, and they had a live music band which played a lot of 70s & 80s stuff. They were very good. Only issue we had was that our table was literally right in front of the band. A little loud, so we couldn't have much conversation. But we would definitely go back....and request a table a little further back.Written April 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Diane KVenice, FL3,885 contributionsWe stopped by on a Cars & Coffee Saturday. We strolled by the cars outside - which are brought in by local car owners. Then we went inside their museum & showroom. It was literally packed with cars - that you had to squeeze your way around to see all of them. Lots of fun seeing all the cars of the past. No charge - which is very nice too.Written May 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Phil MChester139 contributionsIf you are interested in birds or bats, this is a great place to go. One of those surprising places that seem out of place. If you go at the right time (as we did), you can see Egrets, Herons, Anhingas and other birds nesting. We even saw a couple of Spoonbills. At dusk, the bats emerge from the boxes set up for them. Take a pair of binoculars to make the most of it.Written March 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Diane KVenice, FL3,885 contributionsWe've taken the boat ride, eaten at the restaurant and walked around the grounds and the river. There are many alligators in the area - some of the largest we have seen. A very authentic old Florida experience.Written April 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- tagnrockyNoblesville, IN1,020 contributionsWe rode our bikes along the intracoastal waterway on a pleasant Sunday afternoon. We accessed the trail from Patriots Park in Venice, rode a few hundred feet down the street and hopped on at the pedestrian bridge. Officially, we were on the Legacy trail headed south until we arrived at the train depot, then continued south from there on the Venician waterway. Surprisingly, there weren’t lots of people. The trail is concrete and passes several parks before looping at the end. A nice pleasant trail with no street crossings.Written April 19, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Diane KVenice, FL3,885 contributionsThe Venice Train Depot is part of Venice's history. It is no longer an active train station - but rather serves as a bus stop. There are signs that explains the history of the train station. The tours are currently not being held due to COVID. There is a train-themed playground on the grounds. We were there during the week and there was ample parking. The Legacy Trail goes by next to the train station. We walked over to the boat launch which is on the other side of the trail to watch the boats go by. A nice place to stop and relax. It is free.Written October 28, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
