We took the Scenic Full Day Antigua tour offered on Travelocity. Our guide was Leo and he did a fantastic job of describing the history, landmarks, culture and people of this wonderful island.
Our favorite place was English Harbour. There were three high tech rowboats who had just arrived from the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa!! We also enjoyed the stunning views from Shirley Heights and Dow's Hill, driving through St. John's, the rain forest and having lunch at Mama's Delight.
Thank you Leo for your wonderful tour!! Next time we come to Antigua, I hope we stop at St. Bartholomew's church which dates from the 1600's. (One of the oldest churches in the western hemisphere). Until our next trip!!!
We enjoyed this trip very much! Able to see a lot of Antigua shoreline, learn a bit of history and do some snorkeling in addition to learning about the ongoing efforts to protecting turtle population. The staff was knowledgable, safety councils and a lot of fun
Excellent tour guide. Bernie and his crew took us to a ship wreck off English Harbor! We saw green turtles Spitted Ray and all kinds of reef fish as we trove with our power snorkeling equipment heading to and from the pillars of Hercules!!
It was a wonderful experience, our guide/driver was courteous, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about not only the history and culture of the island, but also filled us in on details of numerous native plants and animals. Pointing them out and even making extra stops so we could see things like mango trees, papaya trees, turpentine and mahogany and many more. The places we visited were excellent and the views were absolutely stunning. Don’t hesitate to book.
An excellent day trip and a great way to see the main sites in Antigua. Our guide Rob was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative and arrived promptly at our hotel to pick us up. The tour lasted about 6 hours and included a great lunch at Shirley’s Heights and there were plenty of beverages available throughout the day, including a delicious rum punch. Due to the weather forecast we decided to bring forward our trip by a day and this was easily rearranged. It was lo lovely to have the opportunity to see all parts of the island and we would highly recommend it to other visitors. Thank you Rob for making it a special day.
This was essentially a private tour, aside from Stingray City which is done in large groups. You could not ask for a better guided tour with someone who was born and lives on the island. Jerome was outstanding, had a great wealth of knowledge and took great care of us all day. Picked up right on time, he took us around the north and eastern side of the island highlighting local culture, more than just the slated tours of Long Bay, lunch, Stingray City and Betty’s Hope. Jerome also took great pics for us at any location we stopped. Highly recommend this tour and make sure to request Jerome specifically!
Had the most AMAZING tour!!! My first time on the island and will definitely be returning. Enjoyed the sites as well as the photo ops and our guide was the BEST!
We appreciated our guide Rob. He was very friendly and answered all of our questions. He really gave us an idea of the culture on Antigua. We also stopped at many historical sites, many of which had very beautiful views.
All view points are amazing. It turns out our tour became private, just me and my friend. The tour guide, Kareem, is great: Knowledgeable and professional. Loved the tour, highly recommended.
My wife and I were on the Round Island Tour on January 22 with Michael as our driver and guide. We saw all the sites scheduled (Devil's Bridge, Shirley Heights and English Harbour) plus a lot more! As we took the South West drive back to St. John's we went through a number of small towns and beach areas, Michael gave us a history of each area and stopped several times to show us interesting plants and buildings. Michael has an extensive knowledge and a clear pride about his country. Very worthwhile tour - thanks! Dave and Karen
The crew was great. As circumnavigated the island the commentary was interesting and entertaining. I learned a lot. We stopped at Green Island for snorkelling and swimming Very nice. The lunch served was good. The tour was very thorough. It was nice they dropped us at the resort. I would definitely recommend it.
This tour was a great way to see Antigua by sea. It was a relaxing day - the boat was full, but not overcrowded and the drinks were flowing. The crew aboard the Excellence were great! The announcer was great at drawing attention to the sights and made sure to tell us when it was best to stay seated because of the choppiness of the water. When we got to the island, there was a designated beach just for us, and plenty of time to enjoy the water or snorkel and have lunch. You didn’t even have to return to the boat to get a drink; they made sure to come and take your orders as many times as we liked.
My one comment - when we read the itinerary it sounded like we would stop at English Harbour and disembark to go see the sights, which isn’t what happened. Instead we pulled in to the harbour then pulled out after a minute and continued back to the port.
Enjoyed it! I would recommend for anyone who wants to relax and see the beautiful natural views of Antigua.
We had a wonderful time on our circumnavigate tour. Our guide was Tumba who was fantastic sharing so much history and knowledge of the island. Would definitely recommend.
