Apart from the local history there is a (slightly worn) video in cork making in that section of the museum, an art gallery, a cafe/shop with outside seating in a lovely courtyard, good parking, a range of local hi...
It's a museum of two halves - an Algarve costume museum spanning the 30 years pre and post World War I, and a section devoted to the local cork industry.

The museum is very easy to understand ... my favorite part was the medieval board games section!

I thought it was a shame so few people seem to visit these museums, they need our support to survive and care for the items for future generations.
... the history alive, the gifts in the museum are amazing value for money we came out with a bag full but our view is it helps keep the museum open for future generations it's worth the Money we spent 100% recommend
