The Kentucky Artisan Center has tons of crafts and local products. Lots of unique items, including some excellent wood craft items. We found the prices to be pretty high, but reflecting the high quality and time required for making the special items.

Great view from the top. Devil's kitchen was a unique rock formation, before you get to the pinnacle. I would say it would be a 5 on a scale of 1-10 difficulty scale. Be careful of the roots, not to trip.

Berea College is a very attractive school with an interesting history. It was the first college in the Southern United States to be co-educational and racially integrated. The campus is warm and welcoming.

The Union Church was founded in 1853, with a liberal and welcoming view to all races and beliefs. Both the exterior and interior of the building are attractive; the interior with an unusual look for a church. Located directly across the street from the historic Boone Tavern Hotel.

Great variety and reasonably priced! We tried to hit every antique store in Berea and this was the best by far! So many booths and not a lot of repetition. I saw in a review someone taking issue with the prices, but everything seemed very realistically priced! If you love antiquing this is a must-see place in Berea!

The Trace ran from Cumberland Gap to Fort Boonesborough. The “Daniel Boone’s Trace” marker is one of four Kentucky Historical Society markers at this site; all of which relate to Boone Trace. The other three markers commemorate Twitty’s Fort, Estill Station, and historic sites in Madison County, including Boone Trace. In addition, a marker placed by the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1915 is located here, which is among fourteen such markers along Boone Trace.

Wonderful! Sarah gave a demonstration to our kids and we had a wonderful conversation over a cup of coffee. Beautiful pottery that we will treasure for years to come. Very inspiring and meaningful visit.

We were in Berea for the day and so made a stop in the Artisan Village District. There are some small shops dealing with stone work, wood work, glass work, pictures, paintings and hand-made items. None of the shops were overly large, so it made it very easy to navigate in all the shops. All the shop keepers were friendly and informative. It was a pleasant stroll and an interesting visit.
