I hesitate to write this because this family Quinta is so special that I don’t want it to become overrun. What a beautiful experience we had here! The owner Nuno and staff could not have been more welcoming. They were very generous with their time and food and drink. There was a slight mix up with our lunch, but Nuno went above and beyond our expectations to make it right which we greatly appreciated. Everything was delicious- the wine, tapenade and jams were so good. Nuno makes you feel like family. We were honored to experience his great love of his home in the Douro valley. Muito obrigada, Nuno!

What a fantastic winery! We were treated to a tour and tasting as part of our Douro River tour through Portoalities. The stunning location on the edge of Provosende was amazing, and the olive oil and wines we tried were fantastic - the vintage Port is unbelievably delicious. Many thanks to Leila for her thoughtful tour - her kindness, expertise and passion for wine made our visit very memorable! I plan regular future visits to deal with my new addiction.

When booking into our Quinto we were told that the village was having their harvest thanksgiving festival. What an amazingly nice unexpected experience. We ate pork on rolls and drank red wine and watched all the villagers connect. Old and young alike talking. Nobody sitting on cellphones. Take a pic at the 3 crosses when you exit the town. I will forever be grateful to have this memory. The shop was not open to shop because of the Festival.
