What travellers are saying
- Katie1 contributionIt's always 10 degrees cooler at the Lurman! The bands are carefully selected to ensure high quality talent. The atmosphere is family friendly and the volunteers are happy and always helpful. Bring a picnic and enjoy a night out that will remind you of what the world was like 30 years ago.Written June 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JessicaGPReisterstown, MD195 contributionsWhat an interesting museum and park!! Learned so much about the life of Benjamin Banneker. There are things to do inside and outside. If you check the website and the park rangers, they can tell you when special events are happening. There is even a small trail with markers that you can walk around. Definitely worth the stop if youre in the area. Great for families too. Free, ample parking. Not open on Mondays. Lots of things to do around the area also.Written February 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- southman2016Atlanta, GA45 contributionsWe parked at Middle School on east end of trail. There was street parking also available, but no parking lot, other than at the school. Trail is paved all the way to boardwalk on the west end where you enter Elicott City. Very little trash. It's an easy walk. We saw a deer.Written June 20, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bill BBel Air, MD8,193 contributionsBaltimore National Cemetery if fittingly located on the National Road (Frederick Road, Route 144) leading out of the city towards Catonsville. The entrance is unassuming and easily missed, making this truly an almost hidden gem. The relatively narrow frontage gives way to wide fields once one drives over a hill. The approximately 72 acres of land dates back to 1750, though it was not acquired for the cemetery until the late 1930s as existing nearby military cemeteries were filling up. I learned that there were at least 4 relatives buried there, and I set out on this surprisingly warm and sunny November day to find at least one. Apparently there had been a kiosk attached to the office building where one could do a computer search for those interred, but that was not found. Alternatively I used the web based version of Find a Grave and located names and a rudimentary map. With that I successfully traced a grave section and stone number. The slow drive around the curving roads enabled an appreciation of the neat rows of white stones curving over the hilly landscape where some colorful fall leaves still remained. Will do some more research on grave locations and return.Written November 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TRJRMBoca Raton, FL358 contributionsWent in Sept 2021 for a concert. Earth Wind and Fire. It was expensive to buy tickets online with all the added fees but I went to the box office to buy them and there was only a small fee added. Convenient to get to and park and box office has convenient hours. Our seats were in section 201 and were pretty good for the show. The arena is not huge so any seat would be good in there. The concert was great too! Would probably be great to see the UMBC basketball team play in there. Clean. Friendly staff.Written September 27, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
