- LMPACBroken Hill, Australia183 contributionsMedoc wine trip was up the Garonne by boat, lunch and some wine tasting on board, stop at Le Refuge, then over to Haut Medoc to bus and to a winery for wine tasting.
Le Refuge was magnificent and the highlight of the day. I enjoyed sitting in front of the large picture window across the grasses and water. Brilliant.
As for the boat trip, not so bad. Too much talking can be invasive, wine tasted at Chateua Lasseen was ordinary. Overall a long day but enjoyable.Written July 21, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My partner and I were picked up from the bus stop and taken on an awesome tour around the chateau and into the cellar. Audrey spoke perfect english and was happy to answer all of our questions, she was also very knowledgeable. We did both the wine tasting and the sausage and cheese tasting, recommend both pairing the wine and the cheese is unmatched. The owner came out and was very friendly to us. After we got dropped in Blayes where we went to go see the castle which was amazing as well. Awesome day trip from bordeaux. They also didn’t pressure us into buying wine after (but we did because we loved it)Written January 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christine25123 contributionsStayed for 1 night in our campervan - lovely little spot camping amongst the vines (for free !). Arrived late afternoon - had a small personal tour / tasting with one of the ladies who works there. Bought their 26 euro meal boxes for the night which were amazing! Home cooked pork with cheese, bread and desert - portions were massive (had enough for lunch the next day!). Would recommend!Written April 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HughandAnneNorthampton, England84 contributionsReally impressive to walk around and definitely worth a visit. A nice way to spend an hour or two (and we can definitely recommend Lily’s ice cream)!Written August 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
