- lauro221100Island of Malta, Malta8 contributionsThe chateau is fantastic but the coffee shop is a total rip off. I was charged 12.60 euros for 2 cups of tea. Not even in Paris ot Venice would one pay so much in a coffee shop.Written September 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Randy VVAshland, WI205 contributionsDuring a visit to the Dordogne area in mid-October of 2018, and being a huge craft beer enthusiast I looked forward to stopping by Brasserie du Chanoine,Hautefort, France.
They are French craft brewers producing what appeared like a variety of eight to ten locally produced beers.
This is a take out only establishment. No open beverages sold or consumed on premises.
A custom picked 6-pack sampler was purchased. Five different beers including Ide Noire, La Dame Blanche, Maya La Belle, Marcose & Hiver ‘n’ Ale. Craft beer tasting is a very personal thing so I won‘t get into that here.
They are open Thursday, Friday & Saturday 1000-1230 & 1430-1900 and Sunday 1000-1230 & 1430-1730.
The staff member spoke English and was very informative explaining the different types of beers available. The was service quick and friendly. I thought the prices about right for micro brewed craft beers.
If you’re in the Hautefort, France area, why not take a walk about around this historic picturesque hillside town and reward yourself by trying some locally brewed French craft beer, visit Brasserie du Chanoine.Written August 17, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
