The property is magnificent and the owners love of Lusitanian horses is front and center on the wine's label and from the beautiful stallions on the grounds. We are warmly greeted in the boutique and are invited to sample some of the Château's wines. The oak aged reds were particularly impressing. We purchase a bottle of reserve. The “Miracle of St. Rosalinde” is an amazing story, and her body was naturally mummified and remains on site for viewing. The eyes in the reliquary were a little strange, but the backstory is great. Very good wines and rosé varieties. We enjoyed the friendly welcome and the tasting. An impressive church for a town its size, gives a true impression of how important the Catholic religion once was in the region.
