Spent a couple hours here on the trails around the dam, great park for they kids to play.
I take groups to Pyramid Canyon Park next to the dam....I am amazed how many locals have not seen the dam close up or who did not know about the existence of Pyramid Canyon Park.

There are clean restrooms with showers in the center of the RV park.The adjacent desert jungle has hiking trails through it that will take you to the beaches and hidden lagoons.
Most people think about the casinos or just jet skiing on the river, but this state park is a perfect place to spend a day on the river and enjoy the crystal clear, cool waters to escape the heat.

There is a very good park at the dam,we rest here for a bit ,enjoy the scenery and head back.
