- travelinggirl85North East, MD17 contributionsMy family and I recently visited Sugar Oak Farms over maple syrup open house weekend in the Capital Region. It was really a great experience. The location in Malta is small but welcoming. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable and was very eager to show his passion for making maple syrup. Very clean facility and the air smelled wonderful. They have a small store where we were able to taste some samples before purchasing. They also provided pamphlets with a wide variety of recipes too. The syrup and other products like maple coffee were very tasty! - SalugaWading River, NY2,469 contributionsThis is a nice place to get some exercise in a wooded area. There are two miles of well maintained trails that range from easy to moderate. The trail that we went on was mostly flat with some steep sections. One of the trails that we passed, but didn't go on, had a portion with steep staircases, which might be difficult for someone with mobility issues. Park listed as closed during the Covid crisis but the bike trail goes right through here. - Macpack11 contributionDo not deal with place. I had reservation for renting a boat with a engine. When I got there, they told the boat was already rented. Tried the bait and switch. Wanted me to take a row boat instead. They are crooks.
