Self guided tour. Understanding how the elevator was built and seeing the Falls at another angle was very cool. Yes, cold when visiting in the winter, but beautiful!

A nice state park along the river and falls. There is plenty to see and paved trials to follow along the river for several miles. It also includes Goat and the Three Sister islands. There are plenty of benches to rest if walking. If driving there a re multiple parking lots. This park is billed as the first state park in the nation. There is plenty to see and do. Allot of the attractions in the park are reviewed separately. Seeing the falls lit up at night is a must see. I would say you need multiple days to take it all in,

This is part of the NY Niagra State park. The trail is easily walkable with beautiful scenery. Definitely take the bridges to the 3 Sister islands for up close look of Niagra river. We parked in Lot 2 $10 we were able to walk over the bridge to the main park as the trails are a big loop!

There are lovely walking routes in Whirlpool State Park that offer a variety of breathtaking river views. Without a doubt, I would strongly advise doing the same when visiting Niagara Falls.

The Prospect Point Observation Tower (also known as Niagara Falls Observation Tower) is a great way to admire the full grandeur of the falls from Niagara Falls, NY. Although it is set a short distance away from the edge of the falls, it is close enough to the falls to occasionally enjoy a refreshing spray.

From here, you can get a clear view of all three falls, including American Falls, as well as the mesmerizing rapids.

The boarding area for the Maid of the Mist tours is located at the base of the tower, accessed by a high-speed elevator from the observation deck. The base of the tower also provides access to the Crow's Nest, a smaller observation area located much closer to the falls.

You do not need to go on a Maid of the Mist tour to go to the lower level, but there is a small fee for the deck and elevator.

Our grandchildren enjoyed their first visit to the Falls and the State Park. The day was a warm sunny October afternoon, perfect for walking and viewing the falls.

Do your research before hiking. We... Did not. The views are breathtaking (as are the stairways). The trail is rugged to travel and can be very narrow (and dangerous) in many places. Experienced hikers should do fine. Overweight older gentlemen like myself should think twice.

We were expecting a Watkins Glen style hike where you could hike down and walk a slopping roadway back to the top. No such luck. You go down 400+ stairs and you will have to come back up the same-ish amount.

To be fair. We entered at the stairs to the right of the pullover parking area and walked only until we found the next set of stairs. The trail goes farther and could get easier... But at that point, we weren't talking any chances.

    NOT FOR BEGINNERS.

One of the Best hikes ever. The scope of the Niagara Gorge is truly impressive. So many great things to see with the Highlite being the Rapids racing by within feet. It is an awesome experience. You can walk for miles or just turnaround after one mile. Very easy walking platform as it is the old trackbed for the Great Gorge Route.

A nice little easy walk from the scenic trolley stop or parking lot.You get a totally different view of the river and surroundings. You can relax and take in the natural view of the river. When we were there, there was no crowds as the other tourist stops.

Disappointing. It's no longer a outlet where you can get deals. After factoring the exchange rate, gas and meals it's cheaper to stay in Canada

Nice visitor center close to the Niagara Falls State Park. The staff is very helpful and provided helpful information. You can pick up several pamphlets on the area. They also have a small gift shop. Great place to pick up visitor information.

We spent two hours here and could have made it longer but it was closing time. My sons are 21 & 24, their grandparents and myself really enjoyed it. A volunteer, Walter L. Was our guide and we all feel we were fortunate to have been able to meet him. He entertained with stories and got into the details of engine function, various planes and also much more. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet him and appreciate the time he spent answering questions and also debating thoughts about various aircraft. Our “boys” and my dad(their grandfather) were captivated.

We highly recommend a visit here. The exhibits are very well done and the staff and volunteers were wonderful.

Excellent museum. The tour was very thought provoking and educational. We were visiting from England so much of the information was new to us. Would recommend to other travellers.

Been wanting to go here for years. Great old, classic wax museum . Displays are old and not well lit. Some figures make no sense. Like Julia Robert? Great daredevil exhibit, some real artifacts I think.

Would definitely go back if in the area
