- lmcs1104Auckland Central, New Zealand144 contributionsThis is another beach that my family and wife and I love to visit - it is a fairly small beach so the beach itself (spacewise) can get quite busy.
Water is blue and warm and there are no waves so good for families with young kids as well.
There are also food hawkers so you can purchase food and drink if you don't bring your own - the food is generally inexpensive but, if you want a cold drink, be aware that you will be charged 3 times the price than at your local shop.

Shops, Bars and restaurants walking distance. Nice beach for swimming. Negative side: The sunset buildings are little rundown, some buildings are falling apart. Shops are very expensive and most of the shops are women fashion. The marina is very noisy at times, the tourist boats play very loud music from around 8am before they leave and when they come back in the afternoon. Some boats come back around 9:30-10 pm and loud music will be played from multiple boats until 11:30. Some of the more regular players are sometimes rude though to the staff and speak harshly even to women.
