You go through 3 old growth forest types...that are enjoyable. - NCtravelzRaleigh, NC1,747 contributionsThe lookouts are fantastic, although the trail can be a little confusing. At the end, we started the shorter leg of the tree loop. It was blistering hot and quite uncovered, we should have just backtracked and stayed on the lookout path. Lots of places to stop and sit on benches at the lookouts. Very accessible unless you choose to scramble. At the first overlook we looked onto some rock pools and a waterfall at black brook beach.
