I saw pictures and reviews on another platform and I had to come and check in out when I was in the area. After hiking nearby and having a great lunch we decided to pop by and see this.
First, this is a small quaint community and there is a very small parking lot, and during the summer this place can be very busy.
We were thankful it wasn't that busy when we went there and managed to get a spot. While we were parking, we had a chance to talk to one of the homeowners and she was lovely. She gave us a little history on the cottages and how the change all happened. Another gentleman was re-painting his house with a new colors. This is a truly a labor of love for them.
Every house has it's own personality, but not all houses partake in the "over the top" gingerbread house look.
The neighborhood is cute and quaint and I must give credit to all the owners who are patient with all of us gawking and taking pictures of their homes.
This is a unique area, with bright homes and some great people.
