Great distillery serving up a variety of whiskey and other liquor options. They are one of the few places in ‘wine country’ that lets you sample (4) their options free of charge. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice easy hike, beautiful escarpment and not many people there. A flock of robins and a few Bluejays followed us around the field.

I saw pictures and reviews on another platform and I had to come and check in out when I was in the area. After hiking nearby and having a great lunch we decided to pop by and see this.
First, this is a small quaint community and there is a very small parking lot, and during the summer this place can be very busy.
We were thankful it wasn't that busy when we went there and managed to get a spot. While we were parking, we had a chance to talk to one of the homeowners and she was lovely. She gave us a little history on the cottages and how the change all happened. Another gentleman was re-painting his house with a new colors. This is a truly a labor of love for them.
Every house has it's own personality, but not all houses partake in the "over the top" gingerbread house look.
The neighborhood is cute and quaint and I must give credit to all the owners who are patient with all of us gawking and taking pictures of their homes.
This is a unique area, with bright homes and some great people.

Such a gorgeous spot for a hike. We are so blessed to have it close by! Slippery in the winter but for spring, summer or fall walks this is the spot. Gorgeous waterfall in the centre.

I went to a Christmas open house at Nelles manor. It was all candlelit , several interpreters in period costume to inform you of any details about the house and the family history. There was a harpist for music , a singalong by the big fireplace and lots of wonderful appetizers to be had along with a local wine and punch.
It was a night that took me back in time to late 1700s!

Although I have lived in the area for a dozen years this was my first visit to the grimsby Museum. I recently decided to take my grandchildren for a visit as we were looking for something different to do. We had the place to ourselves ! The young lady working that day was very friendly and took the time to explain the current exhibits. Prices for admission are reasonable at $ 3.00 each for children and seniors. The current displays focused on items from the 80's and 90's...of some interest to the kids as they saw items that are currently available today ( cabbage patch kids )as well as some interesting items from that era. They even played one of the first Sega game machines. The second exhibit did not hold their attention as much but I found it interesting. It was on " bathrooms " and " bedrooms"dating way back to the bed pan and bed warmer eras. All in all I found the visit was worthwhile and would return for new exhibits.

Lovely gallery space with great lighting. Nice gift shop. Ongoing art classes. I really enjoy the Wayzgoose annual book arts show at the end of April. And it is free!

This is a special beautiful place to sit and relax and watch the geese and ducks. You can always watch boats pull out from the Grimsby Marina, or see people launch canoes and kyaks from the launch ramp. There are lovely walking trails off to the side and the Grimsby Pumphouse is located there for parties. Plus it is a historic site of the Forty Creek Battle vs the Americans when they were trying to take over Canada and march up into Stoney Creek on to Dundurn Castle. It is our go to place to relax and remember how beautiful God's world can be.

Visiting the park was quite a surprise. It lies at the bottom of the escarpment and the trees were starting to turn quite nicely. I had come to take pictures and I got some really nice ones. The park was difficult to find because I only had a street address but no Street number. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature and fresh air.

If coming from the Toronto area, a good place to stop to get information about the Niagara area. It is a highway rest stop area with some restaurants and clean bathrooms all under one roof.

I just moved into the area and walked into this shop just to see what they had. By Xmas day, My husband and I had returned 3 times. We bought Xmas tree decorations, and even bought a one of a kind mirror for a guest bedroom. I’m taking my daughter there tomorrow so she can see what I’ve been talking about. The ladies there are really helpful and you feel like you are talking to a family member. Great spot and I’m planning on taking all my friends there.
