- edward g1 contributionWe enjoyed the play immensely. The actors were excellent . On par with any theatre in the world. - Connector19092169610Brantford, Canada1 contributionThe story was unlike any other love story that I have seen in a play. So refreshing that way and even better, it's based on a true story! In our time of instant texting, it was fascinating to see how letter writing worked as you waited a much longer time for an answer. The setting , in the midst of the war, gave it many poignant moments. I loved the 1940s hairstyling and fashions. My only critique is when the characters wished each other a 'Happy Holiday'. I am sure that in the 40s it was still acceptable to say, "Merry Christmas". I was sorry to see this 2024 editing. Thank you Hildebrand Schoolhouse for a great show!Written October 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mbarronKitchener, Canada71 contributionsOn the recommendation of a friend, I took my 6 year old grandson to see the model railway display in St. Jocob's. The admission price was quite reasonable at only $10 per adult and $5 per child My grandson was in awe from the moment we walked into the large display area. Several volunteer conductors were on duty operating the trains from an overhead control booth. Other volunteers were circulating in the room to answer questions and point out special features such as the train car that was used as a school classroom or the outhouse with the door that actually opens and closes. A special thank you to volunteer Jake who patiently and enthusiastically answered the many questions that my grandson posed. We have plans to return!Written July 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Helen NToronto, Canada3 contributionsWe enjoyed a private tour of The Mennonite Story in St. Jacob's. Steve was so very pleasant, knowledgeable and patient in answering all our questions. We love to learn about new cultures and this was a comprehensive tour including the history and continuing up to the present. The museum is large and complete. Don't miss it!Written August 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SnackyBitsandCuppasChiang Mai, Thailand300 contributionsThere are numerous booths with a wide variety of items - everything from old crocks to books. We enjoyed roaming through the booths and "rediscovering" things from our childhood. If you have a lot of older items, it's also fun to see how much some of those items may be worth.
It was not as busy as the farmer's market, so we had time to leisurely browse through the building and share interesting finds. We happily left with a sturdy old adjustable stool.Written July 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's a haven for delicious treats, both savory and sweet. One of my favorite places to get souvenirs to take home to family & friends after a trip. Low / No Sugar choices available, too. Huge assortment of nuts, chocolates and candies.Written September 25, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. just as good to actually go to a farm and see what they have is what i would recommend

In Elmira you are met by a tractor and wagon to drive you into town to the Elmira farmers market. There are a few shops in Elmira to check out. Caution: train cars are older and have a noticeable musty odour.Written May 19, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marilyn K1 contributionI've seen people complaining about the amount of cigarette smoke in the outdoor areas. Duh? Be thankful people are smoking outdoors.
Are there crowds? Yes - but so many of them are tourists, and often tourists are not as nice as you would hope.
As someone who shops there for local produce, because I live nearby, I too find children's strollers a problem. Particularly those folks whose strollers are the size of army tanks. I suspect the market was originally set up to cater to local folks looking for their weekly groceries, so coping with strollers had never been considered.
There are so many different booths, many displaying similar products, and one cannot expect them all to suit any individual's taste. I have found some vendors that I don't particularly like, but that is why I have a choice.
Having a choice is what I most appreciate about the market.Written September 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
