Unfortunately the day we visited it was pouring down with rain. We toured the main museum, about the life and history and L.M. Montgomery, but did not tour the grounds due to the weather. The museum is nicely done with pictures and information about the author's childhood and life. There is a big gift shop too. Too bad the weather wasn't nicer.

We visited the same day as Green Gables. I have been to GG at least 5 times previously, but had never been to this historic site. I appreciated the opportunity. It is well maintained and informative. The trail from here leads to LM Montgomery's church and the post office, and then to the cemetery (after a convenient Tim's stop).

I was a huge Road to Avonlea fan as a kid and was hoping that this would be a similar experience to the Anne of Green Gables Museum...however I was slightly disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I would recommend visiting here as there is no cost and the shops are cute with loads to offer, I was just hoping as an Avonlea fan to find some attractions for this as well.

Location of burial of the author of Anne of Green gables. Her resting place is tastefully decorated and highlighted - displaying her importance but still respecting the others at the same cemetery.

Across from cemetery is montgomery park - which provides a lot of information and stories about Lucy montgomery and gives a good account of the history of the region.
