Park in “Pooh car park “ which is still free, walk through the gate and walk along the path, look out for Owls house, piglets house, Winnie the Pooh bridge…. Throw a stick on and play Pooh sticks, and Pooh’s house. Only would take half hour stroll.

Parking can be tight but we have always found a space as there are not that many visitors--remember to lock your car!

Highlights are summer dragonflies, the grazing ponies, hethaland views and large pine ant nests under the conifer plantation.
In good weather this is a lovely stroll for families. Paths can be a bit rough and the reserve is on a slope --- but this is the Ashdown Forest!!

A great little place to bring out the child in you whatever age you are . We went for a birthday celebration and booked the afternoon tea. Got there early and was seated before our 2pm time slot which was nice. Good very good, scones, sandwiches, cakes and plenty of tea. Tables a bit small once 2 trays of food came up but didn’t stop the enjoyment. Souvenir shop was not greatly stocked and rather pricey and museum not big on information but a nice little add on if you’re waiting to be seated. A short drive away is the Poohsticks Bridge ( 40 mins walk away) which is a nice place to go after eating all that food !!!. Overall a must place to go but probably only once .
