We would thoroughly recommend the castle as a hire venue, it is great for family parties and we wish to thank in particular Tiff, Eileen and Dave who were so kind and helpful.
The best thing about the castle and gardens is that they are free and very relaxed as well has having beautiful gardens and a lovely playground for kids.

Very well signposted family friendly cycle route with the reward of beach, fish and chips and ice cream.
If you are pretty unfit or have young children, go on the cycle path from Whitstable - Herne bay - no hills at all!!
