- Anne S1 contributionGreat day out with our 4 year old Grandson. Lots to do indoors and outside. Staff very customer friendly. More signage would be good as easier to understand than keep looking at the map. Maybe it's an age thing!Written January 4, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Lots of local interest which helped put some of the area into context for our stay. Helpful staff and good children's attractions. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.Written December 31, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Amy T3 contributionsWe have just come back from celebrating a Hen do at Glastonbudget and we were pleasantly surprised at how well managed the festival was after reading some of the negative reviews on here!!!!
The festival staff were all friendly and helpful, there were litter pickers around all the time and plenty of bins. But most importantly the toilets were fine!!!! They were serviced daily, sometimes multiple times a day. After being at other festivals we were expecting the worst but I never once saw a blocked and battered loo! Most of the time there was loo roll and they were pretty clean.
The bands were great, food was great!
There was such a good vibe, everyone was friendly and up for a laugh.
The token system on bars was a bit annoying and seemed a bit pointless tbh. That is the only tiny little negative.
Thanks Glastonbudget, I would love to come back!!!Written June 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ArchieStephen19992 contributionsI love Xtreme Scream. The quality of the scare attractions on offer here are some of the most immersive and terrifying in the UK! The highlights for me are always The Village, Ash Hell and the new attraction for this year ‘Blutlust’. The set detail, masks & costumes, use of well dressed mannequins, animatronics and lengthy layouts really make the haunts at Xtreme Scream stand out. Blutlust is a beautiful attraction with a great guest journey, I adore the use of a pre show and multi route paths (uniquely mid maze!) I can’t wait to re enter the attraction next year.
My (hopefully) constructive criticism would be for Xtreme to focus on quality over quantity. Perhaps Uncle Ensos has seen its last days. The random and lacklustre attraction provides very weak scares and I personally believe the use of actors in the other existing attractions would be much more effective. I would also prefer to wait a little longer in queues for longer breaks between batching groups. Having to stand still due to a conga lines in the attractions isn’t ideal, to help better batched experiences, I’d be more than happy to wait longer in lines, especially lines such as Ash Hell that even provide entertainment from above & great atmosphere around the main hub!
Overall the event is a must visit and I adore my yearly Halloween celebrations at Xtreme Scream. I urge anyone who hasn’t been to visit and to anyone that has been, I am truly impressed with attraction updates and the work Xtreme do maintaining the beautiful scenes within the older attractions. A bloody brilliant night out ! 👻🎃🖤Written November 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. First stop was the cafe, the Pavilion Tea Rooms, - it's a bit upmarket for your typical park cafe. Our sandwiches were accompanied by salad and crisps. It was good though - plenty of seating.
We wandered around the park, there's plenty of paths with flowers and ponds, etc to see as you walk around. An oasis in the town.Written May 3, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BraindamagedbaronNewark-on-Trent, UK1,837 contributionsI'll start by saying I despise pork pie, truly hate them. I'd rather eat dog food.
There's something about the mix of what I can only assume is some derivation of pork and copious amounts of aspic jelly forming a barrier between the meat product and awful pastry that I find repugnant. I fully appreciate that folk love them. They're wrong, but I appreciate it.
However, I was in Melton Mowbray and and so I bowed to the will of family members who like the evil foodstuff. The stench of pork pie coming from the pork pie shop was overwhelming and smelt quite strongly of pork pie. Funny that.
As my eyes ran and my lungs screamed for pork free air, I begrudgingly handed over cash, no idea how much, I didn't really care. Escape was at the forefront of my mind and nothing else. I vacated the premises clutching one of Melton Mowbray's finest pork pies and it stank out the car all the way home.
The report I received later that week was that the pie was 'Delicious'.
As I say, they're wrong, but I appreciate it.Written March 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
