We were staying in Yachats and had booked in advance since there were 6 of us! It was really helpful that you had samples of all the different objects we could make. Once we got going it was amazing! I was scared that the glass would just fall off, but you reassured me that you wouldn't let me fail and I came away with a beautiful bowl. The rest of my family had fun, too and we've placed our glass pieces in our home. Thanks for such a great memory!

Chuck Forinash is an amazing local coastal photographer and his gallery is filled with many of his works, from simple prints to elegant framings! We just got one of his latest, the Yaquina Bay Bridge with snow in the foreground, a rare sight indeed!

Driving up to the Oregon Oyster Farm you might be scratching your head and/or thinking to yourself, "Hell, no, I'm NOT going in there." First of all it's in the middle of nowhere. Secondly, it looks closed. Actually it looks like it's been closed for well, about 10 years. BUT NO! Force yourself to go in and buy to your hearts desire. Fresh oysters to eat there, smoked oysters to take with you, oysters to have shipped home - it's all there waiting for you to be brave enough to step inside. Be prepared for no ambiance what-so-ever save the authentic and cool oyster farm/factory THAT IT IS. Highly recommend.

This gallery is one that you do not immediately notice. However, once you enter, you are immediately enchanted by the variety of the art. Some is more natural in nature, other pieces are breathtaking in their complexity. Artisans are there at different times and can teach you things about the art and/or Coast. Well worth popping in for a look.

The staff at the front door welcomed us and we took time to to browse in this MIO outpost on the bay front. All kinds of local items and souvenirs with a good inventory of items.

We took our son here to select some kites for the beach. We enjoyed the huge selection of kites, garden spinners, wind socks and toys. This was a fun stop.

Haven’t tried the many other candies offered in this shop; we always stop in for the overfilled bags of freshly made caramel popcorn. We think it’s a great deal. Cash only though.

We stopped in while visiting the waterfront. The name alone is a welcome sign. The staff is nice, they have a large variety of items for dogs, cats, and people. A great place to find something special for your pet.

Her patterns feature a lot of the coasts best spots. Landscape fabrics galore. Her help and knowledge is great also.

My son really enjoyed picking from the large variety of candies here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The prices were typical for Newport. This was a fun place to stop.

We made a point of searching this House of Spirits out. Arriving around 1 pm we were the only guests. Felt good with COVID hanging around.

Staffer was friendly, provided information about the bourbons we were interested in and very professional.

We both ordered the bourbon sampler flights. Sample flights included four 1/2 ounce samples. It was a sticker shock when our total for two flight samples came to $40. Had of we asked the price we most likely would have passed and ordered drinks.

Rogue micro-brews on tap for our next visit.

I really enjoy reading a good 'beach book' when on vacation at the coast, and this is the perfect store to find an inexpensive used book. The store is located on the west side of 101, right near the intersection of 101 and Hurbert Street. There is parking in the small lot just to the west, but no RV parking.

I usually wander back directly to the 'mystery' section, since mystery/suspense books are my favourite. There are all kinds of books though, enough to please everybody's taste. This bookstore is independently owned.

It's close enough to walk to if you're staying in the Nye Beach area and is no more than 5 minutes' walk from the hotels on Elizabeth Street.

This is a nice shop located in a small complex of shops along the waterfront area. They have very nice hand crafted glass products - I was impressed with the quality as well as the number of items for sale.

My spouse and I had seen a brochure at The Nye Beach Inn, advertising this place with a woman touting herself as "The Countess" adorned in Egyptian clothing, looking mysterious beckoning one to come to see her at her shop in Aquarium Village and to smell the delights of Egyptian oils. Well first of all, there was no Countess, just an unfriendly retail clerk who opened the shop late. Even though my husband and I were the only 2 people in there, she started spraying some kind of cleanser on the counter to clean first thing, and could have cared less that she had customers. She didn't speak us, she didn't welcome us, and when I asked a question she was barely audible in her disinterested response. Very depressing and unwelcoming and clearly the brochure showing "the countess" is just a means to draw people into this tacky gaudy store that has junk and oils that I've smelled in my home town in tourist shops. All the oils smelled like furniture polish or worse, they aren't essential oils, they're chemical fake scents and were very strong and pungently putrid. We had hoped to at least have a fun experience, but save your time, you'll be disappointed unless your standards are this low.

Since 1989 - what a fun shop with all sorts of unique gifts, decor, cards, gift baskets, kitchen items and more. Across from The Chowder Bowl - don't miss it.
