- Eva TUnited Kingdom4,799 contributionsWe travelled with car and made stop in Newport. The bridge over Yaquina bay is elegant with several arches was opened in 1936. It is worth to make a stop at the car park in front of Yaquina light house and have good look at it.Written August 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eva TUnited Kingdom4,799 contributionsWe drove the Yaquina Bay Road and found interesting information panel next to the road between Newport and Toledo . It was about first settle James Craigie who worked as a trapper for the Hudson’s Bay Company in the Oregon Territory and who claimed a land in 1866 and opened first settlement. This place is of historical interest about the early settlers and their interactions with the indigenous communities.Written September 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eva TUnited Kingdom4,799 contributionsThere are several amazing murals on SW Bay Boulevard. We found this one on the building next to the car park when we went to Thai Port restaurant. You have to visit this part of the town and see all of the murals there.Written September 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
