- 42792017Salem, OR17 contributionsI love the updated galleries. They are lighter and brighter, spacious, and a fresh look. The new jelly exhibit is beautiful. If you have not been to the aquarium in a while it is worth a visit. A new exhibit is going to open this Spring.Written January 27, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- traveling_with_kathyLake Stevens, WA1,609 contributionsI love lighthouses and this one did not disappoint. It was $7 to enter. There’s a nice interpretive center before going to the lighthouse. There are restrooms, a small souvenir shop, help desk and an informative exhibit about life at the lighthouse a hundred years ago. There are two short films on a constant loop - one explaining the history and life at the lighthouse and the other focuses on the tide pools and birds of the area. Recommend people stop in before visiting the lighthouse.
The lighthouse sits a mile out. There are stairs down to the tide pools. I had my dog with me, so I couldn’t get close to the lighthouse.Written September 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Oregon coast is beautiful and there is an abundance of beauty here. The parking area can get congested and parking can be difficult.Written September 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unfortunately this time we had no luck but from the Lookout at the gift shop (which was closed) we had great views. Car park is for about 30 cars.Written October 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Steven L21 contributionsA beautiful sand beach with a great view of the lighthouse. But let's be clear- there are no agates at Agate Beach. It is simply a giant beautiful sand.Written August 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CassandraCorvallis, OR2 contributionsGreat views on the Pacific Ocean, you will have to pay to access the beach. There were options to get a parking pass and helpful staff at the drive up window. I love walking on the dark basalt cobbles, sometimes you can see wildlife on the rocks. A unique place on the Oregon CoastWritten December 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Wendy SNorth Ogden, UT114 contributionsThis is a lovely walk for all ages starting from the large parking lot at Agate Beach. The ‘first leg’ entrance is at the back and it is very easy to navigate, is 0.8 miles with bridges and a lovely river surrounded by tall trees, ferns and beautiful forest. It connects to the Forest Park trail - which is the midsection of the Ocean to Bay trail. This mid section has some steep incline/ declines. All of it is very beautiful lush forest. We did not do the final leg to the bay, instead opting later on to park at the west end of Historic Bay Street to see the sea lions, shops and piers. Every section was beautiful and I recommend not to missWritten April 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cheyb29Salt Lake City, UT156 contributionsIt was super windy on a late August Monday evening, but not the least bit crowded. We were staying in an RV park across the street and found this gem. My daughter had a wonderful time playing in the sand and surf.Written August 30, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tawnie E52 contributionsThe Betty is pretty, if you get to the end and walk the dunes (hard trek up the sand), you will be rewarded with lots of beautiful coastline, starfish, rocks and shells.Written August 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Have Camera, Will TravelSouth Bend, IN3,804 contributionsWe stopped here to get some photos of the Yaquina Lighthouse in the distance and some morning beach action. It was perfect. Nobody was there and there were some interesting sea life up on the shore. I'm not sure what the beach is like during the day, but it is excellent in the morning.Written June 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian JPortland, OR185 contributionsHadn't thought to write on Coast Park before this must be our tenth visit minimum. Clean, with options for multiple age levels. Biggest issue is equipment in battle with the sea air to retain function. A great community asset.Written July 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bella76Wilder, Idaho11 contributionsThis is the best beach to take the dog. Our little terrier loves the beach and we found this one to be easy access and her favorite one to run.Written November 24, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian JPortland, OR185 contributionsHard to visualize what this cool little cove looks like from above. Pretty easy walk for kids and middle aged adults ... would not recommend for the elderly. The ranger station permits access to drive to the bottom for the elderly. Take advantage of that, it's a pretty steep grade in the sun when the sun's out.Written July 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
