- Fred SKent, Washington, Usa90 contributionsWe loved visiting the Hatfield Visitor Center! They have so many wonderful exhibits, for both adults and children. They have great touch pools. Octopus feedings, many hands on exhibits, again for for children and adults. We all (two adults and a 9 & 10 year old) enjoyed it a lot.Written September 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Have Camera, Will TravelSouth Bend, IN3,807 contributionsWe wandered into the brewery after checking out the crab pier and bridge. I'm not a big drinker, so it was more for fun than anything else. The store is cool and the fact that it is buried inside the brewery makes it a cool stop. It's worth a look if interested.Written June 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bookworm9 contributionsWe took a family vacation to the Oregon Coast and stayed in Newport. My son loves anything having to do with pirates so we stopped her while driving around the area. - Bryan LColorado Springs, CO639 contributionsThe wax museums I don’t find to be all that interesting. Believe it or not side at least had some very interesting things to see and read about.Written June 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LJ1California293 contributionsI’ve done a few glass blowing sessions before at other places but this was definitely the most hands on and fun session I have done. Jeff was an excellent and patient teacher, it was easy to follow his instruction and he let me do most of the work and only jumped in for the more advanced steps in the process. My husband and I had a wonderful time. Picked up our pieces the next day and my finished piece came out beautiful! I highly recommend doing a glass blowing session with Jeff at the Hot Shop when in Newport. You can reserve a session on his website..Written September 19, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- tumbleweedchrisRichland, WA1,018 contributionsWax Works is exactly the type of wax museum I enjoy. It is not the polished and boring Madame Tussaud variety that you find in big cities. Instead it is a quirky, uneven, and sometimes inaccurate curiosity that you see in smaller tourist meccas. While they do have a number of newer exhibits, they also have plenty of quirky classics like a chamber of horrors, bigfoot, DB Cooper, and Star Wars. Combined with Ripley's this is a no brainer must visit for all roadside attraction lovers. My only wish is that it was a little longer. Check it out and enjoy the funky atmosphere.Written May 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- jal988Yakima, WA50 contributionsIt was nice to see the memorial to the fallen fishermen and the pictures on top of it.
As we were looking at it, a homeless man came in and sat down. He asked us if we wanted to smoke weed with him! We said no thanks so he went ahead and smoked it.
Not really a threatening man. But kind of sad that this place has homeless people there.Written September 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We didn't have an hour to watch all the individual films, so I will definitely be going back!Written November 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Matthew B17 contributionsI have bought glass making experiences in the past for my wife, she is enamored by glass making. They were pale when compared to what she was able to do here. Very patient in teaching her the process, very hands on. I was also allowed to be in there with her to take photos of her while making her starfish. We loved interacting with the whole staff. They mailed her starfish home safe and sound. We will do again when in the area.Written August 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jamie W7 contributionsGreat little hole in the wall that the locals seem to frequent. We stopped in to check it out and was greeted by the friendly bartender. Decided to stay and have a drink. Really enjoyed chatting with the bartender and some of the locals. We decided to go back on Saturday night for the live music and had a great time. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area!Written September 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
