Excellent, well marked trail. The Lookout is amazing at the turn of the Red Trail Loop. The Blue Trail adds about 5 km more.

This is an excellent spot to take a walk and enjoy the falls. We didn’t hike very far, but we had a dip in the water, took some nice photographs, and found some neat fossils. The stairs to get down to the falls from the road is steep and long, so not good for strollers, or those with mobility issues. Up the road a bit there is a candy shop and bakery that sells ice-cream.

This is a beautiful very clean beach. So glad we stopped here. We were only on the island for 6 hours and it was suggested we stop here. Loved it.

The coastal Alvar trail is the most beautiful hike on the island. We were lucky to also spend over an hour at the visitor centre with park warden Brad, who told us all about the history of the island and the park. He was incredibly patient and is a fantastic asset to the facility -- the knowledge and passion he shared with us made the rest of the hike very meaningful. The education opportunities at the visitor centre are wonderful and so important to many of us who are unfamiliar with Manitoulin. Thank you Brad for making this trip even more worthwhile.

Lovely place With awesome atmosphere. Following the previous review: for health nuts! Dang right, and proud of it. This is real food that nourishes properly. Perfect portion. Right out of their garden. Very creative dishes. Check their menu online. Simply awesome.

Didn’t believe the reviews that you were given your own personal escort…..but how wrong I was! Just fabulous. Picked up by 4 dogs who took us up and down again. Stopped when we did, walked at out pace! No one else around meant this was special walk with beautiful views….well worth the effort to find the trail.

Because we entered from the side road ( caravan in golf club grounds) we did not see any maps. Signage therefore for us was inadequate. We ended up not knowing where we were but having a fantastic ride in hot weather and doing 12km. It is a great track and such a relief it is only one way track!!!!

Absolutely a beautiful waterfall, but that is all there is. Just a quick drive off highway 6. Takes only a couple minutes to enjoy the waterfall, take a picture, then be on your way. If you're driving by, definitely stop to see, but if you're not going to be in the area, don't make the drive.

I found out today, May 7, 2021, that new owner(s) of these trails have closed them to the public. I was greeted with signs stating: NO TRESPASSING, KEEP OUT AND PRIVATE PROPERTY.
I contacted the Manitoulin Expositor and they confirmed this.
More of Manitoulin is being marketed for residential and commercial development and I believe that these trails are yet another attraction removed by such developers.
So don't travel to Manitoulin unless you have verified everything you want to explore or visit is actually open to the public.

We spent 2 nights in Camp Cabins and booked for dark sky preserve.

Pros- Staff were friendly. 2 stars were given for them

    Cons-

    - Paid for two bundles of fire woods which did not work. Ended up leaving them unused.
-The cabins were not cleaned and shabby, bugs and spiderweb, spiders everywhere
    - No professional from astronomy community was there as they advertised, too pricey , not worthy

Advice: Need to be little transparent with the customers and pricing should be checked.

Don't even bother trying to find this park. It is all closed off to the public! You can put your boat in at Michael's bay if you can find that tiny road way off Michael's bay road and go look at the land scape. It is not being cared for as a public park. It should not even be listed as one. Carter's bay is beautiful and completely closed off to the public as well. Don't waste your time!
