It is rare to find an art gallery that has numerous pieces that I love. And our friends felt exactly the same.
Alex, the owner, has an incredible eye for quality. He is clearly passionate about the pieces in his gallery, has a mountain of knowledge, and happens to be one of the nicest people you are likely ever to meet!
Located in the arts and industrial estate.
    Treat yourself.

I'm pleased to say that when I visited Byron Bay Gallery this morning, I was met by Tommy Salmon the owner, whose interest in my work was welcoming and genuine. I look forward to dealing with this gallery, I'm inspired to go home and create some more work for this gallery. As a local artist, there are few opportunities to reach an audience. This space is very inspiring, with many local artists on show, at reasonable prices. Tommy seems sincerely interested in seeing artists make a reasonable income. I'm looking froward to seeing some framing I left with him as well, good price, very professional job. Thanks for your time Tommy.

Love this market not only because of the beautiful items & food but love that they have something on a bit later in the day/evening- byrons such an early bird place (farmers markets closes too early lol) and its a better vibe at this time in the summer as the sun goes down and its a bit cooler :)

This gallery representing a list of up and coming artists to watch, tucked into the corner of a buzzy industrial estate, knows how to stage a memorable exhibition opening.
For Vanessa's Stockard's collection of otherworldly works depicting Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, a timid nudist unleashed and a series of chairs with larger than life personlities, guests were treated to a night of unfolding fun and a variety of entertainments, including each other in fancy dress (optional).
Add a well thought out bar and a tasty foodstall - and knifethrower - in the carpark...
    Jumpin'!

You can find all sorts of paintings in this little gallery behind Byron main beach. The abstracts I saw were extraordinary but there are also plenty of local landscapes. But they aren't just ordinary landscapes. These are extraordinarily original works from a world class 'en plein air' painter!

For anyone who loves art or just needs a unique souvenir of the region, I highly recommend you check them out.

Great time browsing the stalls, listening to live music and plenty of activities for the kids. Exactly what we were looking for on a weekend trip to Byron.

We visited this market and were amazed at how many stalls, the quality of products and food was fantastic. If anyone knows the stall who sells sunglasses recycled from skateboards please let me know!

The only downside to anything in byron bay including the market is the parking. Every parking spot is so expensive to park and always a struggle to find a park.

After waiting patiently for many weeks to have my item shipped, this seller did not respond to multiple contact attempts via multiple channels.

I was fortunate enough to have a fraud/disputed transaction case decided in my favour.

This is my personal and factual experience and I would encourage others who have a similar experience to follow up as I have.

We made a special point of attending these much hyped weekly markets. We had planned to eat here and hoped for some interesting local art and craft.

The stalls: there weren’t many and those that were there were fairly dull and uninspiring, with three exceptions- the man carving up coins had some interesting work, the wooden bookcases were nice and the star of the night was the young man selling original paintings. All in all, the rest were a drab bag of dusty clothes, leather bound journals that looked mass produced, and tired goods not worth much at all.

The food: well, no one was buying any and some stalls were unattended. As a general rule of thumb I don’t buy food if no one else seems interested - so I didn’t try it. To be fair it’s hard to buy food when the stall is unattended or the attendants that are there aren’t actually cooking.

Maybe it’s better in the warmer months?

Visiting the Byron Bay Cookie Store is a must-do if you love cookies. Just a forewarning they are very expensive but sort of worth it. Friendly staff. A favourite of mine is the macadamia and white chocolate ones, yum!
