What travellers are saying
- Jim MBanner Elk, NC58 contributionsThis was a very interesting place to visit. We tagged along with a tour that was already in progress and really appreciated the knowledge and demeanor of the tour guide. This was a lot of fun to explore. We plan to return when the weather is a little warmer.Written January 16, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ItsLikeThis1960North Myrtle Beach, SC124 contributionsSmaller than I thought. No parking available. But historically good to drive thru. Did go thru the beach walk. Would be impossible during the season. Don't bother.Written January 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cheryl hDurham, NC57,913 contributionsNot a bad golf experience. The clubhouse and 19th are nice but small and checking in was fast and easy. The practice facilities were nice other than no grass on the practice tees. Basic low country golf with few memorable holes. Would play again.Written September 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mimi SDawsonville, Georgia539 contributionsWe weren't able to go in but could see in the windows. Lovely church, lots of natural light. - rocky552Nixa, MO34 contributionsFantastic ocean scenes in their art collection' Many other coastal items throughout the store. Every time we are in the area we end up buying some ocean related item. Fair pricing compared to shops in the Myrtle Beach area.Written January 23, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 232phillOxford, UK126 contributionsFantastic place with some amazing art. Really friendly and unpretentious staff that looked after my wife and I really well. Only reason for not buying is my luggage allowance !Written October 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richard MFayetteville, GA57 contributionsThis was our 2nd course at the WorldAm. It was a drive from our stay in Myrtle Beach but well worth the trip. The fairways and greens were in great shape. If it wasn't for the fog on our first 5 holes, most of my foursome may have had better scores. This course is a must play if you are playing golf in Myrtle Beach.Written September 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nutrinutGeneva, Switzerland302 contributionsOur son and now daughter in law were married there. Towards sunset, the tide was in and the sun setting was perfect for pictures. The chapel is small but in pandemic times, it was the right size for our small gathering.Written October 17, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Casey1919Somerset, PA591 contributionsThis is a fine test of golf for any level or player. The fairways are growing in nicely with the over seeding and the greens are excellent. The traps on this course come into play on almost every drive and second shot during the round. They are well maintained and have packed deep sand in each trap. Water come into play on a lot o holes but it is mainly on the sides of the holes. There are a few holes that due have forced carries over water but they make those holes challenging. It is a drive from MB but to play on this well maintained fun challenging course, it is worth the drive. An excellent day on the links!Written February 5, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- cheryl hDurham, NC57,913 contributionsThis is a Dan Maples design in Pawleys Plantation on the site of an historic plantation. The live oaks were awesome (with the spanish moss) and there are many signs pointing out the history of the area. There was a nice practice area, including a large range and practice green and another green with a practice bunker, but the tees were not in great shape.
The straightforward design is classic "lay of the land" with very little elevation change, which makes sense for the coast, and was in good shape. There were only a few forced carries over water, which makes the course friendly for women golfers.
There is a good variety of holes, long and short and doglegs both ways and a few straight holes. The tees were a little long for a senior golfers and women and it would have been nice if they were a few hundred yard shorter, especially down here at sea level. Overall a nice round of golf.Written September 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JakeMtlMontreal, Canada113 contributionsThis was my first visit at the Heritage Club and I am somewhat ambivalent as to whether I will play it again during future visits in the Pawleys area. The course was in excellent condition and the greens may have been the best of the 5 courses I played in the area this Spring. But despite large oak trees and a nice clubhouse, I someone find that the course lacks the « wow » factor. The other gentleman in our group, a much better golfer than me, cleary enjoyed the course.Written May 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
